I'm fine with losing last 2 for better Draft Pick

From a distance, I'm fine with giving Snead the best opportunity to do his job, and a higher draft spot would do that. However, when the game arrives I can't be indifferent about the outcome. I like this group and want them to pulverize the opposition. And when it comes to Seattle, I can't stand their sanctimonious, overhyped QB or his brethren.

Maybe, just maybe, get a shot at ending their season on their own field. *fingers crossed*

Anyone, player or coach, who agrees with the line of thinking that losing is okay because it means a better draft choice, I would want cut or fired immediately.

Play to win, and take that winning attitude with you into next season.

And stay away from Winston. You can't fix stupid on the NFL level.

Yes I realize this subject is neither of great importance at this time of the season, nor is my take on it going to be widely accepted but I'm just saying, it's over. We're completely out of the wild card race after this loss so we should start looking towards the draft.

While it's never a good idea to try and lose, I wouldn't be at all sad if we lose our last 2 and go 6-10. Why? Better draft pick spot.

The ONLY reason I would not be ok with losing is if we have the ability to keep the Seahawks OUT of the playoffs. That would be worth a draft pick slide down for sure!

A lot of deep emotions on this subject, as expected. I'd like to point out that my original post stated that I didn't want to try and lose. I stated that if we did lose, I wouldn't be bothered because it ups us in the draft order. Perhaps jumping from #16 to #9 pick. THAT is a huge jump and worth much more for a trade down. Although I think we'll take an OL with our first pick anyway.

I'd be fine with it too, but it's not gonna happen. They'll never throw the games on purpose.

The draft pick is important, but ending the season with a 2-game win streak & a 4-1 record in the last 5 wks is a much-needed confidence boost for this young team heading into 2015. Not to mention... whether we're 6-10 or 8-8, we're still gonna have to trade up for our QB and the price will probably be the same either way .

I take it from past discussions and this one that you're a Fisher believer, if we lose our next two and undeniable regression would your opinion change?

I'm not a "Fisher believer"...whatever that is. And no, my opinion wouldn't change if we lose the last two...unless something significant happen that made me believe he lost the team.

We're going to have a top 15 pick whether we win or lose out. 8-8, a non-losing season is still possible, so I'd rather that happen.

8-8 is one of the cornerstones for building a team that is a perennial winner! F losing seasons! Let's win out and handle whatever comes when it does!

I don't like losing anything to anybody...for any reason. I am not on board with losing the last two. Quality players can be found at every pick in every round. Win and be better at drafting than all the other teams.

I know a gazillion of you are going to be rip snorting mad at me for saying this, but it's better we move up in the draft order. It will be important. Very important to move up the 3, 4 or 5 spots by finishing 6-10.

Listen, the "momentum into next year" thing is WAY overrated! No player really cares about how a game 8 months earlier ended.
A better draft position is worth much more, especially if we use it to trade down.

It's possible that the Rams could finish 6-10 and not move up 3, 4, or 5 spots from where they are right now.

I agree with you *IF* it happens while the team is trying to win.

Tanking for the sake of tanking I will never agree with.

Me either. Purposely losing is not acceptable.

Still absolutely disagree. Good teams win and use the draft picks they have wisely. If you start hoping for tanking, you never stop tanking.

Plus, I think it angers the football gods, making us that much more likely to pick a bust.

NOTHING good about today's loss. NOTHING.

Pretty sure after that turd, we're going to be 6-10. I'm under no illusion that we go into Seattle and all of a sudden get back to disciplined football...

You "absolutely disagree" that a higher draft pick position is a good thing?
And again, I've made it abundantly clear that I do am not "hoping for tanking." I'm just saying that it doesn't bother me quite as much, because our draft position rises. You'll see. Come April we will have some good ammunition to get our two OL's and a LB that we need. Maybe, just maybe our QB of the future.
