I was thinking the same thing! I certainly hope those two players make it to the Hall of Fame (At least they are off to very good start!)!

I'm thinking in the next few years we should be tied with the Bears! Maybe in a decade when Holt gets in we'll be tied with the Steelers! haha

Steriods. Contrary to popular belief steroids were not legal in the NFL back then or ever. Steroids were in the league but it was not a sweeping trend at the time. The Pittsburgh Steelers were the first team to take it to a teamwide level (even Bradshaw has admitted to taking them). The team doctor gave everyone of them steroid shots. Steroids were to be prescribed and administered by a doctor, however there was supposed to be a legitimate reason for them....a health reason, or a psychological reason. If you ask me the Steelers win in Detroit was fixed too. 'One for the thumb' and Bettis last game at home in Detroit. It was all so hyped up for them to get that 5th win. I think fixing the games was a big trend in that era of NFL football. It was the 'Its best for business' line of thinking. Just like allowing the Patriots players to totally mug the Rams receivers and Faulk on passing routes in the SuperBowl. America wanted to see the Patriots win because of 911, or at least they thought that is what America wanted. I think that the NFL has moved away from that line of thinking though because it raised too many questions but they still view the people as generally stupid and try to dupe the fans on certain issues. Deflategate is one for instance. The fine is nothing to Kraft. The draft picks are nothing to the Pats. They don't draft like the rest of the NFL. Bellicheck said the last draft had only 20 players that they thought were draftable. Then comes the Brady suspension. When has a backup QB every suffered in the Pats system? Never and they have a good backup. This deflects everything away from Bellicheck being involved with deflating footballs to reduce fumbling and makes it look like it was all on Brady. The Patriots come out in an uproar and then decide to drop it for the good of the league. Brady will probably do the same. It was all scripted and how do we know if the fine ever gets paid?

So it still goes on, but again I haven't really seen any terrible calls that made me think the Superbowls are still being fixed like I saw in the Rams/Patriots or Steelers/Seahawks. If so I don't think the Giants ever win a Superbowl against the Pats in either of their contests. However, they had to let the Patriots play in this last game because if they hadn't it would have turned the league on its ear. There was no time to make a change.

I'd say game fixing is still going on, it's just harder to detect.

Elmgrove is telling the truth. In fact a very lengthy article was written about it, where he is wrong is that it was the Chargers who were first to do it. Then the strength and training coach went to Pittsburgh where he kept up with the little pink pills and the Steelers were the first team to do them as a routine and for a long time.

Then during the Steelers most recent run when they won 2 SB's the team Doctor was popped for distributing HGH and other stuff illegally. He purchased HGH in huge amounts, you can read about it all over the web.

Just google chargers and steriods and google Richard Ryzde.

The Steelers have had this dirty little secret for decades. I know some of them have admitted to it but overall it's swept under the rug. Those four early titles have a lot of stink on them.

Eh, seems very tin foil hat-ish to me....especially the game fixing paranoia. I'd chalk up the earlier dynasties being a product of the lack of a salary cap than anything....nobody could afford to keep those teams together these days with free agency. Not to mention the Rams were great during those years, so one could just as easily say they were doing them too.

Yeah Warner would count for this chart for the Packers. Only one I can think of with the Bears having a shot is Urlacher so we should be able to pass them.
