Agree.Don't understand the love affair with Davis...He was a brief novelty item IMO, and is not a serious threat to be a starting NFL QB..JMHO, of course...

No need to be humble. He can't even get a shot in Cleveland. And I liked the guy. :palm:

Dear Jake,

Please stop hurting me and abusing me.

Love,

The English Language.

Seriously, I know you are 20 but you got out of High School so you should be able to perform a bit better than this. Ask someone to review the work before posting it. Nothing says amateur chump like the ranting and raving we see from media idiots, and over the top proclamations............and a shitily turned phrase. Shitily wasn't a word until just this moment.

It's ok/cool to have a different feeling or different thoughts but elucidate them less shitily.

One of my favourite movie scenes ever.

Imo, we lost 2 of the last 3 games from piss poor coaching. we lost our 1st game from the same thing. The giant game was winnable even tho keenum threw a few pics. yes better qb play would have got us the win but from game 1, When u have a 5yr vet qb, that was your qb a year ago, that won't or doesn't have permission to get out of a run play when the whole world knows your gonna run it and there is 8-10 defenders stacked in the box. and you continue to run in this situation 7 games into the season, you are suppose to lose.

hell, if I'm playing madden I wouldn't dare try to run in a situation like that unless the defenders were heavy to 1 side. And of course I would run to the other side, put a guy in motion or something. .. or even if it's 4th and goal with 2 secs left right before half on the 1 yard line and there are 12.... TWELVE..... defenders in the box. WTF, would I run up the gut and pull a MFn guard? ?? Play action that or just line up and hit it. but I would have NEVER, EVER, EVER, EVER pulled a guard... EVER!!

Well, yes and no. There's a difference.

"Fisher is a dumbass."

"Fisher doesn't seem to have what it takes."

It's all about the delivery, m'man.
I literally have backed Fisher. Still do! He has until week nine and no.17 better not be under center

Maybe you should ease up a bit on the sarcastic responses to people who might not agree with you...Note to self: "Don't read any more of this guy's crap, because I don't agree with him"..Sounds pretty sophomoric and insulting, doesn't it ??? I guess I'll get my editorial thoughts somewhere else...
Lol -X- attacked me? Whatever. Think what you want. Tired of posting my articles here and getting praised and then the second I talk about the QB position I get bashed to no end. I know my stuff maybe that is what the insulting thing is. I wanted Wentz I'm not even the biggest Goff fan but what I saw on Sunday morning at 9:30 was an absolute sham. You lose a game 17-10 and the QB throws 4 picks? That's on him.

You and me need to chit chat... **HUGE Dream Theater fan (for 23 years) and overall Prog fan...
Seen Dream Theater twice! Unfortunately not with Portnoy but hey, Mangini is amazing and I've probably seen a combined 50+ songs live in just two concerts with DT. Bang for buck!

I'd absolutely LOVE him as the QB coach. As OC? Depends on how he would use the personnel we have ... they are nothing like the GSOT (although I salivate that the schemes he'd cook up with Tavon ... and nobody would say Tavon wasn't worth if Martz was figuring out ways to use him).
Dude forget the GSOT that was a one time thing and those days are open. Like Martz has proved time after time is he can a good offense with limited personal. Hell if we had a 15 rated offense with our defense and ST play we'd be in playoff hunt. We'd just need somebody to control our timeouts! ‼️

This is unlike any Rams forum you will post on... it seems you are starting to get the drift of that now.

Say something negative about a player or coach at your own peril!
Actually,
Repeatedly and consistently bringing nonconstructive negativity and lazy, snarky one-liners calling the Rams players and staff idiots, garbage, jackasses etc...is what's not tolerated here. There are several other Rams boards where that crap is the culture and environment. Not here.

My advice? You've gotta take the criticism that comes with the praise, Jake. Not just here either. The best way to handle criticism IMO is to just keep quiet and let your work do the talking.

As for the Goff discussion, there has literally not been a day gone by since early in training camp that the Keenum/Goff debate hasn't been pounded into the dirt here. Granted, it's a highly relevant topic but it's also become a tired topic for many. It's also become a bit of a springboard for some to take shots at other players and coaches.

People love to be right, and they love to let everyone else know they were right. Or wrong. That's the internet.

I am very humble and take criticism well! However, it gets a little ridiculous when I go on here looking forward to discussing my article and I see multiple notifications of "so and so rated your post shoot me" lol most of them don't even write anything. It's the ganging up I can't stand. Want to criticize me? Fine. I get it all the time but the fact of the matter is when you start ganging up it goes past criticism. Regardless no one on here will stop me from fulfilling my dream of being a writer. Too passionate to let anything really get me down. Disagree with my views fine. Just here to share articles with people on here.

lol. OR?

You don't have to back Fisher, and there's no merit badge for doing so. He has less backers than he has supporters.
And here's the funny part. You have no idea if I support him or not.

So if multiple people disagree with you, it's ganging up? Maybe it's just not a widely accepted view, or even understood. Ever think of that?

Here's a prime example:

I understand why Jared Goff hasn't played yet. However, this isn't about Goff entirely and Fisher seems to blind to realize that.

What? Fisher is blind to the realization that your article isn't about Goff not playing?

Or this:

Kroenke might need to put his foot down and pull a "Jimmy Haslam" just like Haslam did with Pettine last year. "If you aren't going to play our young QB then I am going to look elsewhere for a HC". Now he was wrong because Johnny Manziel proved to be a bust on and off the field but my point is that it's time to see what Goff can do.

Again. What? You want Kroenke to follow a failed business model? And how does that make your point, exactly?

Also, when you end your article, it has to sum up the premise. Yours doesn't.

Sticking with Case Keenum will lose Fisher his job at least if Goff is out there Kroenke and the rest of Rams brass might be accepting as long as they see the 22-year old under center. It's time for Fisher to make a change though because starting Keenum moving forward is a death sentence to Fisher's era with the Rams and maybe his football head coaching career.

So you don't think he needs to lose his job? You just think he needs to start Goff so he can save it?

Look. You're just going to have to do a better job arranging your thoughts if you wanna come out with a hit piece. And that's all this is. A hit piece. You got praise on some of your other articles (from me, even) because you held your shit together and put together some coherent thoughts. This one is extremely convoluted and rife with personal opinions and logical inconsistencies. If you say you're adept at processing criticism, then process this, learn from it, and move on. What you don't wanna do is engage your readers with comments like, "Note to self posting on here about Jared Goff starting will get you eaten alive...Too many Keenum supporters..." That doesn't scream tolerance of criticism to me, and it's devoid of professionalism.

Last piece of advice. Don't do this:

I get bashed to no end. I know my stuff maybe that is what the insulting thing is.
You think you're getting bashed (and you're not) because people are insulted by your vast knowledge? Dude. You have to assume your audience consists of people from all walks of life. There are people on this board, many of whom don't speak up very often, who are EXTREMELY well-versed in the game of football. I'm not going to name names, but I can assure you that they've forgotten more about the game than you've learned to date. We also have actual writers on here, some of whom are published. So take a step back and gain some humility. It'll serve you well.

Hey X . Everytime I think of Fisher now , I think of the line from my favorite movie Gladiator. "The time for honoring yourself will soon be at an end "
Maybe someone could post the clip for me , since I have no idea how to .

If he shows some willingness to develop and utilize TE's, I'm in. But I remember the Bears (foolishly) got rid of Greg Olsen* while he was there, and he really went away from utilizing TE's in the passing game as his Rams tenure wore on.

* - It's possible that getting rid of Olsen was Martz's revenge on Lovie Smith for the latter convincing him to let London Fletcher walk and put Jamie Duncan in his place. :)

Holt! You mean Bruce? Holt had great numbers when I Bruce, was double and triple covered. Not so much when Holt was the number one guy. I love Holt, he's great, but he was not at the same level IMHO as Issac BRUUUUUCE!!!!!!!!!! Just sayin:D
No, I meant Holt. The point was ROOKIE WR don't often put up huge numbers (Like Holt did)
