I wish we had another elite running back like Gurley

What's the point in having an elite RB when your coach is absolutely pass happy.
Henderson, Michel and a likely returning Akers should be more than adequate going forward with our offense.
If your HC isn't using the tools, another excellent RB might not even get out of the shed.
jmo.

It’s ok it’s goffs fault. When we trade him all will be ok

Hendo was extremely effective yesterday. The 2 turnovers and particularly the Michel fumble essentially put us behind the 8 ball and had to switch to a more pass offense. I strongly believe without those 2 turnovers, we would have done a lot more effective running and been in a close game. They could not stop us when we ran.

Throw in the 2 straight passes on 2nd and goal when you marched down the field on the shoulders of Hendo... run the ball into the endzone and don't get cute about it.

We are talking 18 points there (4 less from having to kick FG and 14 from turnovers).

IT's funny how we all loved Sony last weekend vs the Bucs. Hero to goat in one week....lol
I don't think he's the goat. It was an ill-timed fumble, for sure. But I like him and think he will do great things for us.

Just like I love Kupp, yet his early drop was a foreshadowing of what was to come, in terms of our team focus...

or how no complaints about the play calling when averaging 31 pts a game... then we lose and of course the play calling is trash.

A-freakin'-men.

It doesn't mean you have to go Ground Chuck or play Fisherball, but there are times you need to emphasize it ... like when your D is struggling, your QB is struggling, and you need to slow down the game ... and it's effective.
Does it seem like we had this discussion about McVay & his inability to stick with his running game in years past thirteen28?

Guess my old wore out brain is imagining this....:eyeroll::not::yawn::sleepy:

If Gurley was on this team, right now, he would be pissed at McVay and his play calling. Gurley could be kind of moody. Feed the Beast!

Nope, no imagining. We may both be old, but you remember it correctly just as I do ;)

Let’s be realistic, we are more likely to find a Marshall Faulk soon…

Well we had a back averaging 6.4 yds a carry sunday.
But we decided to stop using him midway through the second quarter.
I guess because our pass game was so hot.

I guess I am in the minority but I do not at all blame the offensive play calls for last weeks loss. If the execution was there, passes and receptions then score in the 30’s.

I had a problem with the FG vs going for it on 4th down however. But that’s a small detail.

It was the defensive coaching that was garbage. No contain, terrible player evaluation, put weak players on the feild exposing the defense.
