I don't think anyone was sitting there thinking we were actually going to win this one. Sure hope this gets us over the hump and the players feel like they can pull out close games.

When they went 3 and out on that final drive i knew we were going to lose. Seattle was going to get at least a fg and win. I was fooled by the fake, did not see it coming, probably because i was so down at that point. I am happy they fooled me and did the fake. was amazing.
Yeah - this probably sums up my feelings at the time. I don't know that I was shocked at the fake or anything, it was more of a "what the....? Oh HELL yes!"

Not me. I saw it coming. When I saw Cunningham in front of Hekker, my first thought was, "It's a fake!"

Fisher knew better than to put the ball back in Wilson's hands.

I agree. No way he puts the ball back in their hands with that much time left needing only a field goal to win. They would also have great field position. That's why I said it was the only play to call. I don't care if Hekker was punting from the end zone.

Oh ya....................and...............Hekker Rocks!!!!!

after 3rd down, I jumped into chat and made a comment about the Rams losing by one point, they should bring in a kicker ... I was a few plays behind due to pausing the game once or twice..forgot all about it, until I read about the fake in the chat room.

Then I slammed the puter closed and said to wifey "sonofabitch knew I shouldnt have gone into chat, now I know what happens next" and she was like oh crap, they're going to lose arent they"

and then we saw the fake punt and she said "hey, you faked me out to" !!!!

I took Seattle in pick em, first time I went against the Rams this year. Feel dirty just talking about it but I might have to do it again next week....

RaminExile seeing some redemption:
Whatever criticism anyone throws his way regarding calls, 4th downs, clock management etc I will remember him making that call there and then. It buys him some credit in my bank.
For me too. Not much though.

So, the Cowboys beat Seattle and the NFL talking heads are declaring them the best team in the NFC...

Let's see... we darn near beat the Cowboys and we also beat the Seahawks... sounds like we are at least 2nd best? :sneaky:

The frustrating thing for me is I think we are that good! I have thought this way from week 1. Maybe this is the start of a little run.

I wasn't worried until Fisher called a called a timeout,I thought for sure they were going to leave them too much time.

Why's that? He called it with one second left on the play clock.

.

One doesn't simply fake a punt inside their own 15 yd line with a 2 pt lead and under 3:00 minutes to go
th

everytime I see that picture now I think of Rob Lowe's line in the TV series Californication

"I took a man in my mouth once"

Its ruined forever if I ever meet Rob Lowe I'm totally dick punching him

Because you leave Seattle more time on the game clock if you don't get the 1st down.As opposed to just letting the clock run run your play and try n get the first down they have no timeouts left.
