Is it wrong to pray that the two teams have a head on collision with each other on the way to the game?

Still want the Cheatriots winning after their deflating balls?

I'm going to get blasted for this, but here it goes anyways. I feel like the Patriots cheated us by recording walk throughs, mugging our WRs, ect. That being said it's our fault we lost. They were begging us to run the ball. We had a top 10 RB of all time on our team. He was our best player and we ran him what 9 times? We can blame the Patriots for cheating us, and they did cheat us, but I think we are misplacing the blame. I think Martz deserves the blame for that one. His stubbornness lost the game.

That's something I've heard others say since the game itself.... I have two responses:

A. Whether some want to realize it or not, the fix was in. If we had started running, it would have simply resulted in a bunch of phantom holding penalties.

B. If Martz did run and it didn't work, the very same people who criticized him for not running would have criticized him for "stupidly abandoning the strategy that got us there". Monday morning quarterbacking (or coaching in this case) is always attractive because it can't be PROVEN that our idea wouldn't have worked....

So I'm not going to blast you, but I *strongly* disagree.

I hate both teams with passion. We play the Seahawks twice a year and I don't want them to be a dynasty. I will hate football during the Super Bowl.

If you look at the game winning drive there was still 2 3rd down conversions of over 10 yards we failed to stop them on and Vinateri still had to make a 46 yard kick. Also if the fix was in why call back the Pats TD? They could of let the hold go and the game is now 24-3.

Even if you subscribe to the fix all we had to do is make a play on the final drive. We owned that game in the 4th. We were the better team and I will always blame Martz for that failure.

I forgot to mention the prevent defense on that last drive. Give Brady all day to throw. Prevent defense is horrible. Just like Sunday after Green Bay had Seattle on a 2nd and 31. They chose to play soft and Seattle converted leading to the fake TD. I would rather get beat being aggressive.

Now there are always exceptions to the rule. For example when we had San Francisco pinned deep in their own territory with less than a min to go. For some reason Janoris bit on an underneath route and there was no deep safety allowing Lloyd the long TD changing momentum of the game. That's an instince where you don't let them beat you deep, because they didn't have time to move into FG range.

From ArizonaRamsFan on the Herd.....he is a good poster I always read him. This is brilliant.

I was thinking about that this morning: perfect outcome to this game
Would be that the Pats just SHRED the Seahawks, but then are so brutally exposed for cheating in multiple ways that even Rog can't deny it. The trophy is taken away and awarded to no one, both teams kiss their cousin, and I live in a haze of contented schadenfreude.

If ever there was a thread that you could like more than once, here it is!!. Pure genius and not totally out of the realms of possibility. Well except for the part where even Rog can't deny it.

I can't imagine the boner over the shitchickens if they beat Tom Brady the year after Peyton Manning. NE needs to win.

This is why if a devil has to win, it'll be the devil that's already gotten both of his nuts sucked by ESPN.

I'll vomit if Wussell Wilson wins again. They'll put that self-righteous turd on god status.

And Carroll right next to him.

Blech.

Can't both teams have explosive diarrhea and the super bowl get cancelled this year?

Have any of you ever wondered why it is that ONLY the Cheatriots are ever accused of cheating? Have you?

To me that alone speaks volumes. I just KNOW that they are cheating, and in myriad ways, too. Why would any person who can avail himself of reason and logic EVER want those cheats to win another meaningful thing? All I want for them is to go into a death spiral where they never win another game, accolade, or fan. And even then, that would be too good for them.

Well, the head ref, Bernie Kukar, spent 5 minutes trying to get the ref who called the penalty to pick it up. And you saw the replay. McGinest had Faulk's leg. Then, when Kukar finally assessed the penalty, you could see he was pissed.

Btw, there were zero Personal Foul calls in the game. And there should have been several.

They didn't actually give Brady all day to throw. On one play, they sent everybody and Brady threw the ball away while he was still between the tackle boxes. Should have been Intentional Grounding, but Kukar wasn't going to throw that flag.

No freaking way dude. A Super Bowl win lasts forever, no matter what. It will always be in history books the shitchickens won 2 SBs in a row. That is a sickening thought to me.

Can you imagine their egos if they win this one? What about media boners? I mentioned this in the other thread, but the shitchickens beating a team with Tom Brady at QB the year after they beat a team with Peyton Manning at QB? OMG, that makes me vomit in rage.

A SB loss is devastating, no matter how many times you've won it before. No one remembers the Super Bowl losers (except kids in Africa). It sucks the life out their players and fan base, which is something I want to revel in. I want the Patriots to give them a slice of humble pie (I don't give a damn about their deflating footballs thing that came to light today).

freak the shitchickens. freak them.

freak THEM.

And one more thing...

freak THE SHITCHICKENS.

I've given my original theory a lot more thought, and I'm not to proud to say that I now agree with you. It actually would be better for the Seahawks to lose the super bowl. All things considered I think that would in fact be more deflating to the Seahawks regarding next season. I hate both teams, but I hate the Seahawks more. Would a 50-10 blowout with the Patriots winning it be awesome or what?

I hate both teams, just had the smug Brady and cheating Belecheat more. I'd love to see a 3-0 win by Seattle in the most boring SB in history.

Yes, we are joining the dark side by rooting for the Patriots. I'm also not proud of it, either. And by no means I'm going to run out and buy a Patriots SB shirt or root for them next year. Hell no I won't do that; I won't even watch the trophy presentation if they do win. I think just the way the shitchickens handle themselves, is disgusting. Loud, arrogant, disrespectful. I'd root for guys like Rob Gronkowski and Danny Amendola than Dick Sherman and Marshawn Lynch.

Oh and using "Legion of Boom" is insulting to the Laurinaitis family.
