not necessarily on my bucket list
but I always thought it would be pretty fun to ride along on one of those planes that fly into the eye of a hurricane

This is exactly what I thought when this thread was first started. But also thought the pun might be in bad taste.
Nope. Only after people die. Beforehand, anything goes. This is exactly what I thought when this thread was first started. But also thought the pun might be in bad taste.
"set up" ? Glad no one was hurt.My old place on Grand Cay in the Bahamas is gone. I sold it to a family (Bahamian) that was involved in my "set-up" from years ago. No one lives there or was there at the time... it's a rental now.
Karma always remembers.

I had him figured for crotch smuggling baby salt water crocs. He was part of Carlos Lehder's drug-smuggling operation down there.
Read your post. Damn. I'd put that fucker's name all over the web with anything related to the Bahamas. Don't understand about the house though. Were you forced to "sell" it?I told the story here years ago soon after it happened. It was f ucked beyond belief almost. I don't remember the thread title... I think it was locked up abroad or some s hit like that... I don't really want to dig it up myself. We are all able to laugh about it now. It took my boys a few years though. They are even wanting to go back now... I don't trust myself enough not to go after a certain someone over there though, and when I say that I mean I would probably beat this guy's a ss to the point that I'd be locked up abroad again.
We are obviously still in touch with many people over there who miss us. There's even a child there who is named after my wife. We'll go back again some day... we'll see.
Karma really is a bitch. I believe in that completely.

A good friend of mine that happens to live about 6 minutes away went out of his house to be in the eye of Irma. It passed right over us.
And the dumbass didn't take a pic.
To give you an idea of how tricky recovery can be from a storm like this I was without power for I think 5 days, he was without power for 11 or 12. We live about 2 miles away from each other.
You should email him and let him know that you know the house is gone. Don't say anyhting OTHER than that. Just let him gnaw on it for what he did to you. Maybe attach a pic of your house tough.
