Really impressive gritty win.
KW and Puka made just enough plays and the OL kept Stafford upright.
The Defense controlled the game, great job on the backend, DL was very good following the lead of the conductor and getting enough from the linebackers that stepped up and made some plays.

Not much sweeter than a niner sweep

We're just the deeper team, and it shows on nights like this in driving rain.

The Rams have now started 3-6 and finished 10-7 in 2023 (7-1 down the stretch); 1-4 and finished 8-6, so far in 2024 (7-2 down the stretch). To put it another way, the Rams are 15-7 in the regular season the last 22 games with 3 more remaining. Matt Stafford is 10-1 in the month of December as a Ram, 6-2 in January and February. Not too shabby for a guy who "hadn't won a postseason game" before joining the Rams.

We've now won 4 of the last 7 matchups with SF, including the 2021 CCG. The worm has turned!

My game balls....

Turner won a lot of one on one match ups and collected two sacks.

Hoeght....dude set the edge, covered and made plays. He was probably helped by a slower track. He is going to get paid by someone this off season.

Evans....good punting in bad conditions.

Dotson....did nasty work all night. Gave up his normal 1 to 2 pressures, but, dominated in the run game. I counted three or four pancakes blocks

Williams....so shifty and elusive. A workhorse twice in 5 days....rest up. Good ball security.

Witherspoon....He had a good game. No, he wasn't burned on the deep pass break up. He was playing trail technique which he does a lot and well. Good game overall by the secondary, although, Purdy certainly missed some throws. Nice to see the unit and Witherspoon have a good game.

Limmer....got beat once or twice pass blocking but was very effective turning his guy run blocking. He is strong at the point of attack. Something that was lacking with Shelton and Allen.

Karty....all very makable kicks....but, he made them.

F them Whiners.
Thats 3 in a row now over those suckers.
The physicality in this rivalry has now switched. The Rams O and D lines bullied the Whiners in the second half of this game.
44 points or 12, a win is a win.....and any win over the Whiners is a sweet one.

The first win over them was very satisfying. This one even more so. It was the dagger on their season. And set us up for winning the division. Likely the number 3 seed. Also likely playing Green Bay at home in the wild card round.

Serious Schadenboner visiting 9ers forum.

“Trade Purdy!”

“Fire Kyle!”

“Blow it up and rebuild!”

...oh, and great game, Goo. I got ahead of myself doggin' him in another thread. He's proven me & other doubters very wrong.
I just get ahead of myself when I see players posting stuff that has nothing to do with football, because of crap I'd seen from other players who loved doing / being something other than an NFL player & then they go out & crap on the field. Their careers in the NFL are sooo short, and when I see them take it for granted, it sets off alarm bells for me.
anyway... Gooooo Goo! AD is smilin' from his couch.

He's never been a good WR, and he never works on it as a craft the way guys like Kupp and Puka do. He'll never be more than a guy with good athletic talent, but he can't separate for shit.

If he wants to know who to blame about not getting the ball more, he should look in the mirror, because he's never put in the work to become a good WR.

A GREAT GETTIN UP MORNING!!! 2-0 vs the 9ers. A secondary that BROUGHT IT at the right time!!! The Rams slugged it out and finished with a sack.

Big plays??? Gotta be the 51 yd bomb to Puka!!! In the game thread...I called for that that but was really shocked that it happened! That was Stafford best throw of the game...it was ON THE MONEY!!! The other was THE BIG PICK by D-Will...that guy read that play all the way and along with the pressure on Purdy, it was the game breaker!!!

Rozeboom, who was a whipping boy earlier in the season, is becoming a very good LB, along with Speights. Let's just say give the Ram defense a GAME BALL...they met the challenge and kept Kittle and Debo quiet!!!

Now...with ten days off, Higbee is gonna be back for the Jets game. Which TE is out now??? If Higbee is game ready, perhaps McVay will do more TE targets. He's coming back at the right time because we can't overlook the Jets...those guys are good in the secondary and the Rams have to avoid a "trap game"...and the Jets could be just that. IT's ON McVAY TO MAKE SURE everyone's on board. Something in me has been looking at that game right after the Rams outlasted the Bills.

The Hags have the Packers on NBC Sunday night and Vikes after that!!! They could possibly lose both games.

SWEEPING THE 9ers IS ALMOST AS GOOD AS WINNING THE SUPERBOWL!!!

Man - how can you leave Rozeboom off this list? He had the best game of his career.
