Just a rumor, but...

I'd think the market for Boom would be pretty weak. 13.3 M annual salary for a guy who can't win a starting job and just coming off a major injury.

Right now sure. But let's fast forward to the trade deadline and you have a couple teams who fancy themselves as contenders and are short up front on offense.

We won't get a lot for him but a midround pick would be welcome. To me at least.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing.

I could see a Rams fire sale at trade deadline this year. And yeah, Boom still would have upside for a contending team that just lost an OT to injury. So his stock could go up in October.

Boom with a 20M cap hit in 2024? Rams might be motivated to move him at some point.

That's a funny list. On Mr. 70 I'm one of the negative guys... if he would just show me something for why we re-signed him... do something... anything that looks like an improvement, I would back off a little. BTW I'm kinda the "butcher their name on purpose" fan.

Just when you thought Noteboom was gonna be “Back in the Saddle”, he gives us the “Same old Song and Dance”. I dunno, maybe he just ate something and he’s “Sick as a Dog”.

At some point, though, don’t the Rams have to “Draw the Line”?
Otherwise, they’re just gonna go “Round and Round”.

He puts me in mind of Saffold, who seemed to be hurt a lot. The only difference is when healthy Saffold was all pro.

Watching Noteboom on the sidelines vs Chargers speaks volumes. Dude was a loner just standing there. Probably won’t be a Ram much longer I am certain FO, staff are extremly disappointed.

I swear the Rams have offered some of the worst damn contracts in the last 5 years.

Yesterday, we received this unfortunate news:

Here is how the various types of Rams fans are reacting:

Optimistic Fan: "Probably just being careful as he returns from last year's injury. He should be ready by opening day."

Pessimistic Fan: "He's done. We should just cut our losses with him now."

Snarky Fan: "Probably has a hangnail. For him, that's an IR scenario."

Know it all/Google user Fan: "The Achilles tendon is a strong fibrous cord that connects the muscles in the back of the calf to the heel bone. Following a rupture, a surgical grafting is required, which portends a long recovery time. Clearly, Noteboom is demonstrating post operative rehabilitative complication in a statistically normal range."

Crude Fan: "Must be his time of the month."

Non Sequitur Fan: "This shows why the Rams are going to move on from Rob Havenstein.”

All about Me Fan: "I had this injury in high school in 1954. He's clearly not ready to play."

Really Non Sequitur Fan: "I blame Rahim Morris' soft coverage schemes."

Can't Let it Go Fan: "We wouldn't care about this if we had drafted Creed Humphrey instead of Tutu Atwell."

Blue Font Fan: "Bastid!"
BASTID!

If Noteboom gets traded, who becomes the backup to Jackson? Arcuri or McClendon? It's too bad that Boom is upset losing his job, let's be fair, you are not durable and Jackson has outplayed you. Oh well, not sure where he ends up, he'll be staring.

Looks like Rodger Saffold is currently an unsigned free agent. I wonder if he has anything left in the tank? He had a down year last year with Buffalo following that car crash last summer. I haven't seen any updates regarding his desire to come back for one more year since this tweet 8 months ago:

A Saffold on his last legs might still be an upgrade for us. Looks like he wants to play. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I don't know that Saffold plays for the veteran minimum; and, I don't know that the Rams offer more than the vet minimum.

Also, I believe Saffold has been at Left Guard almost exclusively; and Avila is at LG.
