Not at all. There is a HARD salary cap in the NFL. As far as void years go you can pay now or you can pay later, your choice. Every NFL Championship is completely legitimate.

I disagree, Same thing with Baseball - you can also pay now or pay later. There is a thing called a luxury tax and that keeps teams from going willy nilly on contracts otherwise the Dodgers would put the highest bid on every great player. They look at their payroll and decide which player is the best player for their team based on what payroll they are willing to spend.
Different type of salary cap but still a salary cap in essence.
And every team can do that.
If they can't - they should move to a city that can.

Baseball is going to face Armageddon this off season. Probably won't even be a baseball season in 2027. I'm ready for it and loving it. I'm quite sure when it returns there will be major salary restriction. Wondering if Dodger fans are going to complain when they can only spend what everybody else can.....???

No, baseball does not have a "salary cap in essence," that would be incorrect. Let's all play on a level playing field and see how "great" the Dodgers really are.
The Dodgers were great in the 50s 60s 70s (in 3 world series even though they lost) 80s and 2000s (always in the playoffs) before the new owners came.
The Dodgers for the most part have been a great team my entire life.
The Brooklyn Dodgers were great in the 40s and 50s.
The Los Angeles Dodgers of Koufax/Drysdale in the 60's were awesome.
The Dodgers of the 70's and 80's that had the same exact infield all those years were great.
Tommy Lasorda is my favorite Manager of all time.
They would probably stretch the payments for years while handing out bonuses worth 50 or 100m up front to keep the parole under the cap.
Do you think the Rams parole for 1 year paper wise matches what they actually pay out? The answer is no. The Rams, because they are in a big market have a cash flow that is unavailable to teams like Buffalo. While at some point they have to clear the slate, they come right back and do it again. They have an advantage. It is not equal.

Only a slight advantage with signing bonuses. There's also a disparity between taxes in different states which Los Angeles gets the bad end of the stick on.
The bottom line is this, Football is a great sport because the HARD Salary Cap enables small town Green Bay, Wisconsin the same chance of achieving ultimate success as big behemoth cities New York and Los Angeles.
Baseball is a crap sport, because smaller market cities like Pittsburgh, Cincinnati and St Louis have WAY WAY less of a chance of achieving ultimate success going up against big behemoth cities Los Angeles and New York because it lets market size determine payroll (LOL)
Market size should not determine how good a sports team is. That's why Ive railed against the Yankees and the Yankee mentality, which the Dodgers currently have, my whole life.

I don't know about St Louis. They have been one of the biggest pain in the asses for LA. Not lately but a few years ago - ouch.
I will say, I have no issues with the Dodgers (honestly have more issues with the Giants - fuck Barry Bonds and fuck their 2012 WS team - and the Diamondbacks - the latter mainly for what one of their shock jocks did to the Kile family - when it comes to N.L. West teams). I honestly have more issues with teams that are bad purposefully (basically being constant sellers and cellar-dwellers. Hey, that rhymes!) than I do with the rich teams that spend.
The only thing I have an issue with when it comes to the Dodgers - and they certainly aren't alone in this - is when teams spend to the detriment of the league's competitive balance, and it's why I believe in a cap ceiling and floor in baseball.

I could go with a cap ceiling but I believe a cap floor is more important.

If the owners can't afford the minimum cap floor then they need to sell the team to someone who can.

I do call the Dodgers - Yankees West sometimes. Their payroll annoys me a little but I will always be a Dodgers fan.
Thing is the Dodgers don't need to spend that money to be a great team - they have such a great farm system that they can make trades at the Deadline to pick up players for a few months to win the world series similar to how the Rams trade for players using their draft picks.
I agree with that. Cap floors are far more important (and like I mentioned, I loathe it so much more when teams purposely fail to re-sign their players and are basically farm teams on purpose than I do with teams that spend hundreds of millions on a few players), but the ceiling is important as well, because the competitive balance and parity just isn't there, and teams end up being farm teams to the few others who can spend.
As for the third paragraph...I've mentioned that the grass is not always greener on the other side. I mentioned the St. Louis Blues earlier - who would've been relocated to Saskatoon, had they been "sold to people who can spend" - so it's not always going to turn out to be like the Dodgers. More likely, it'll turn out to be like the Bill Lauries (a very rich man who had married into Wal-Mart money who purposely dismantled the Blues to sell them for a quick buck when he couldn't get an NBA team to come here) or any rich person who purposely dismantles a team so they can move elsewhere (the Seattle Supersonics and Oakland Raiders/A's are the main culprits, but there are numerous others. I'm just going off of present day moves.).
