Do you think he can actually healthy? Part of having ability is availability.

Well he was part of that TE class of Everett,Kupp,Kittles,Engram. I don’t know? TE’s are so unpredictable, but I thought George Kittles was a steal when he came out. That Njoku guy was just a guy with raw natural abilities.
Why is there even a combine if teams watched Kittles 40 yard dash. He might not have had the best receiving numbers, but he came from Iowa & was an excellent blocker.
Then you watch his speed & power on his 40. Add his drills & it makes one wonder how teams missed on him.

I always like when Les Snead finds players from the Senior Bowl. This new Covid roster though makes The NFL better for teams like The Rams.

Jamil Demby is still on the practice squad. There is something to be said about that.I like it.

MLB has gone away from more of the minor leagues. The NFL having extra players does not add to travel cost & keeps player development in a better place for all.

Whatever- still think Obj will be a Packer. I don’t care though. It’s about The Rams winning it all NOW!!

He only missed significant time once, in 2019.

And that's only because Mayfield threw the most horrible pass I've ever seen in terms of putting the receiver in danger. When njoku went up for the ball I truly feared for his life. When he came down and stayed down, then he got up and it was only a broken wrist I was actually relieved for him.

McVay likes his toys and OBJ is officially out of the toy box. I believe OBJ loves his situation (even as WR2) and will work with the Rams for a reasonable extension.

I mean every single week he gets better and better. That video of Kupp and Woods hugging after the win really showed the brotherhood there, and how much Woods means to him and this team. I never questioned that. Such a hard decision we will have to make. Or do you guys think we will keep both? Every game OBJ plays his price tag goes up and up. If we win the SB, does he give us enough of a discount to stay in LA and run it back??

I will say it again

Goff and Girley's and a couple others dead money will be off the books next year , which will free up like 40 million bucks

Or summtin like that

Doesn't work that way in regards to what is on the books for 22'. Sure they don't count anymore, but the reported cap figures for 22' already take that into account.

So last I saw they were abt $4-5M over since incentives were now paid out.

Whit will save $13M if he retires.

Stafford's deal can be torn up and he can be given a new one that maybe saves $10-12M in yr one of a new deal.

Floyd's contract can be restructured to save another $5-6M. Same with Kupp.

Also Hekker could be gone to save $2.5M. I could also see them trade or cut Rapp to save another $2.5M.

So they could probably open up $35-40M to fill out about 12-14 roster spots.

Keep OBJ, ONLY if he takes a big time pay cut. This offense really runs through Woods and Kupp, we were winning before OBJ, we will win without him, he just came in and filled a void that woods left. And PLEASE don't resign Von Miller. At this point in his career he looks like an effort guy, the burst is clearly deminished. He reminds me of Chris Long back with the st. Louis Rams. He would ALMOST ALWAYS get a sack lol. He lead the league a few times in pressures but never close in sacks.
and cut Reeder as soon as possible

Saw a chart that showed the Rams have cap challenges but many paths to solve them, fwiw.

Unfortunately, PhillyRam is correct (above).

There's a site called Spotrac that has tons of detailed cap information.

One problem with the 2022 cap space, is the impact of 2021 restructures.

When the Rams re-worked the contracts of Woods, Donald, Ramsey and Kupp to create additional 2021 cap space, the restructurings resulted in a combined cap hit for those four players of just $35M. That was great. However, the combined cap hit of the same four players in 2022 is $85M!

Those four players go from less than $9M-per-player in 2021, to $21M-per in 2022!!!

Now the Rams can do some more re-structures but they will lose some good players.

I hate all of this...

Thoroughly disagree with how OBJ changes this offense for the better. Newsflash: OBJ and Woods are NOT interchangeable. They do different things which is why this team would be even scarier with Kupp, Woods and OBJ.

Here's the thing... next season, Kupp's gonna have a MASSIVE TARGET on his back and Woods is necessary to provide an alternative to Kupp whereas mostly we're using OBJ in one on one situations.

Von Miller has led the Rams in sacks the past 6 games and has been a huge upgrade not just in pressures and sacks, but also in CONTAIN!!!

I don't even want to get rid of Reeder, just use him better and only what he's good at.

But no team wins a Super Bowl and then gets rid of a substantial portion of their talent and comes close to repeating.

Sorry, but all of that take would make us significantly worse.

They can do extensions.

This team has played better with OBJ than Woods.

I will eat my mouse if OBJ returns. No cap space. Too many other needs. It is not happening.
