How did the Rams get it so disastrously wrong with John Franklin-Myers?

My first post on page one was to disagree with the OP that releasing Franklin-Myers was 'Disastrously Wrong'.

In several posts on this thread, all I have said was the following:
Franklin-Myers was the top-reserve-DL in 2018,
Joseph-Day replaced Suh in 2019,
It was a surprise when Franklin-Myers was cut prior to the start of 2019, and
Franklin-Myers played well in New York last season
Those are all facts, whether you view them as 'trivial' or not.

If you are going to name the wrong player in a post (Brockers instead of Suh) then you should expect a reply.

John Franklin Myers was cut prior to the start of 2019, and he played well in NY in 2021. In 3 seasons from playing with us? That is a fact not that our organization molded him into what he is today.

Suh had left the building. Franklin Myers is the best player outside of Donald (now) who played on that DL

Side note: he is a team leader and highly respected so I am not sure where the attitude stuff comes from? It may be that he was released due to an injury which might explain why he spent 2020 on the IR

It was a big mistake but of course hasn’t proved costly because two others emerged. Note: Franklin-Myers outplayed both in 2021

Suh was a free agent true but there were plenty of talks on signing him back before he went the route of douche bigalow.

JFM was a NYJ product and development. They did a hell of a job with him.

He got a very nice deal from the Jets.
He is a solid player who is improving.
He out of division and conference....Im happy for the guy.
He was solid with the Rams but didn't show much of any pass rush when he was with the Rams.
Joseph-Day is a bigger loss to me than JFM at the time of their respective signings with other teams.
I do remember Donald telling JFM on Hardknocks (I think) that he can be a force in the league and pro bowl level player is he worked hard (paraphrasing).

Franklin-Myers was behind those three in 2018 and was pretty-much the top-reserve. I believe Fox was on IR..

Suh was gone by 2019, and replaced mostly by Joseph-Day, with Fox and Gaines the top reserves.

Franklin-Myers release was a surprise. The Rams kept Tanzel Smart over Franklin-Myers.
