If Holt doesn't get in, I'mma break a window or something with my screaming. I'm already pissed that a shitty-ass compiler like Gore made it to the finalists over S-Jax; if he gets in over Holt...I don't know what the fuck I'm going to do, but it's going to be stupid.

Brees
Fitzgerald
Kuechly
Suggs
Yanda

That's my prediction.

Three out of five ain't bad. Forgot about the senior committee thing otherwise I'd have predicted Craig. Vinatieri over pretty much every other finalist is ridiculous. Suggs not being in the HoF is ridiculous.

As for Holt, the WR logjam is real, it's not getting any less cluttered and he played most of his years on teams that ranged from mediocre at best to downright unwatchable. It's not surprising he's having a hard time getting in. Hopefully next year.

Senility is a terrible thing!
And his logic is asinine. Isaac Bruce played on the same teams and with the same QBs that Holt did.

Rams should just have their own HOF and fuck Canton. No sportswriter gatekeepers, no door knocking or any of that bullshit. Honour their own legacy and their own players. Good on the teams that do this already, all the other ones should follow.

Holt, ... played most of his years on teams that ranged from mediocre at best to downright unwatchable.

No.

'Mediocre at best'?!? NO!!!

4-of-the-5 Rams' playoff teams Holt played on (in 10 years) were ranked #1, #1, #1 and #2 in the NFL in scoring.

That's 'Mediocre at best' to you!?!

Isaac Bruce had a better career stats wise because of longevity but I think Holt was just as good as Ike and, statistically, had better years. He made the all-decade team... what else can he do?

Lol.

You do know what the word "most" means, right?

2002: 24th offense, 7-9, missed playoffs. Bad team.
2004: 19th offense, 8-8, Lucky WC win, destroyed in divisional round. Mediocre team.
2005: 11th offense, 6-10, missed playoffs. Bad team.
2006: 10th offense, 8-8, missed playoffs. Bad team.
2007: 28th offense, 3-13, missed playoffs. Unwatchable.
2008: 30th offense, 2-13, missed playoffs. Unwatchable.

10 years, six teams that were mediocre to unwatchable, comprising 60 per cent of his Rams career. 60 per cent is the very definition of "most."

Or did you not understand the part where I said most of the teams he played for were mediocre to unwatchable and somehow in your head twisted that statement into "hur dur, Holt himself was a bad player unworthy of enshrinement"? Actually, based on the two parts of my post you chose to highlight, I think that's exactly what you did.

It was the Rams defense and special teams that sucked. Their passing game was still top ten at worst every year he was with the Rams except for the last two.

And Kuechly played on a winning team three of nine seasons and Fitzgerald five of 17 years, so why should that hold Holt back.
