Should we keep this thread going for the 2017-18 NHL Playoffs or start a new one?

Pens host the Flyers in the 1st round, which should make things interesting in my house (my wife's a Flyers fan). Much as I'd love to see the Pens 3-peat, I don't see these guys playing consistently enough to endure the long haul.

Another interesting 1st round matchup: LAK vs VGK. Merlin, will you get to see any of those games in person?

Watched that game. Not sure what Florida's motivation was - maybe they wanted to prove to themselves that they would've qualified IF Philly had lost on Saturday.

B's & Leafs should be a great series.

My Mom cracks me up. She’s 78 years old now but is hooked on Stanley Cup hockey.

Wants to know how the Pens are doing and when the games start.

I agree HB; it’s hard to see the Pens win 3 in a row. But it should be an entertaining first round against the Flyers. Unless Murray is incredible, they probably fall in Round 2, except they always demoralize the Capitols.

After that, they probably don’t want Boston.

Can’t wait for the games to start.

I'm personally screwed for the first round -- I've got DirecTV and I live in the Philly TV market. Therefore, any of the games that are broadcast on the regional sports channels will be blacked out on my TV. I only run into this when the Penguins play the Flyers in the first round, because the RSN's only have broadcast rights for the first round. So the LAST team I wanted to face in the first round was the Flyers, because of the TV snafu. I'll get to see every other first-round series, too.

Was REALLY hoping the Jackets or Devils would end up finishing 3rd in the Metro.

No plans to go this spring but my son is going to game 1! He’s stationed at Naval Base Norfolk and is driving over.

Sorry to hear that you’ll miss some games. I haven’t seen the broadcast schedule yet.
