I'm going to be honest, I don't think I had ever heard about that incident prior to this post. Sorry to hear that, lost a leg apparently.
But no, Isaiah Pead was a massive bust before that incident which occurred in 2016 after he had been released by the Dolphins mid-season.
I will forever be upset with trading down to take Tye Hill in 2006 and taking Adam Carriker in 2007 over Haloti Ngata and Darrelle Revis.
