Another crappy ending to a crappy season. Plus, imagine a healthy AD and Rams defense against either Brady and Mahommes...FUDGE

A bad Offensive Line can make an extraordinary QB look, well, ordinary.

Nothing like seeing the video to show how crucial the offensive line actually is to the qb. We all just saw the proof. Case closed.

Just for fun, here's some stats of two QBs versus the Super Bowl champs:

KC
P. Mahomes
26-49, 270 YDS, 2 INT

LAR
J. Goff
39-51, 376 YDS, 3 TD, 2 INT

And then there's the factor of which team won the game.

Ugh Goff? Wtf does he have to do with this game?
So literally a hundred posts every fucking day ragging on him is fine, but I bring up a perfectly reasonable comparison to our last superbowl and I'm supposed to walk on egg shells?
Fuck that and screw everyone who is pretending to be bothered by my comment.
Quit finding a reason to be bothered. My comment was in no way out of place and guess what? Goff was our QB and one of only 3 to play in a Superbowl so don't get shitty the next time he gets brought up in regular conversation.
Thats just fucking ridiculous.

It is called keeping it relevant to the OP. Goff had nothing to do with this game yet you felt it was necessary to bring him up.

It was relevant for fucks sake whats more relevant than talking about the much maligned QB play from our last superbowl? It was only a couple years ago. Not relevant?
You're trying awfully hard to have a problem.
As soon as Stafford delivers a SB appearance, thats who I will reference. Until then, find some legitimate reason to get your panties in a wad.
Mentioning our most recent QB is too inflammatory for you? Not relevant enough?
Puhlease.

I don’t know, but I’m getting his jersey because I now have hope.

Good. Me too. I like Stafford. But even he needs a better O-line than the one we have been rolling with.

I mean, maybe Whitworth ages like fine wine and Blythe takes off his roller skates and learns how to hold up against a bullrush... but right now, I'm having a hard time figuring out how our current group is going to be good enough. Hopefully the cap space goes to the line or all the hope in the world won't mean shit.

No you are. Obviously.
Just stop. You chose to make an issue out of an innocent comment. Not me.
First you pretend there is a problem then you pretend its mine.

Thanks for being such a great moderator.

Dude, its not your comment or your opinion. Its that your bringing the goff debate into another thread that has nothing to do with the goff debate. Its tiring seeing every thread get hijacked into a goff thread.

I didn't bring a DEBATE.
I didn't debate shit.
The rams were in a SB recently, no?
The Rams QB performance was a big story, no?
Well all I did was point out that the almighty Mahomes doesn't look so great in this SB and its kinda nice, because if he can have a bad game and look pedestrian against Brady, maybe some people will forget how bad our game was against him.
Goffs performance was literally brought up by a coworker today, in relation to this game..
It's a team game. That was my point. I had zero intention of any debate and it pisses me off that I have to walk on eggshells to discuss what I'm thinking.

And I think you're all very pretty and Stafford will be the cats meow, ok?
Everybody happy? No? Well its really not my problem either way.

Cheers to ya, Rams fam.

Fair enough, you didn’t bring the debate your right. Just felt like an invitation for one.

Is Brady more lucky or good??? He lands on a team with all the surrounding pieces in place on offense and defense. He played for Bellicheat for 19 years. I still dont know the answer

Little bit of both, maybe? It’s takes a great player to go to a shit organization and make a Super Bowl champ overnight. It’s not just his ability but also he changed the culture and attitude all without a real training camp. I don’t think Ariens does that by himself

Bill gave him a good foundation to learn and grow but the dude has more Super Bowl Championships than any organization in the NFL. He did it 20 years while most teams have been around 55.

This is uncharted waters for any modern day athlete. Like in any team sport you need some luck along the way but you also have to be great.

It wasn't. It really, really wasn't. It was just the thought in my mind as I watched Mahomes do exactly what my coworker said he wouldn't - be as ineffective as our "previous QB" was.
He said Rams/Pats was the worst SB he had ever watched. He was excited because "Mahomes vs Brady will put on a show".

Well, if he thought that, I'm sure many others did too... and they were wrong.

Tonight sucked. The game sucked, work sucked and then ROD, one place that doesn't suck, essentially told me I need to not bring up something from 2 superbowls ago because it wasn't relevant... when it was literally a parallel story line for Rams fans biggest game in the last 20 years.

Mahomes, "the young GOAT" himself wasn't good enough to do it on his own tonight. Hopefully everyone can recognize why that might matter to Rams fans right now...

Hey @badnews. I'm with you on this 100%. I totally get bringing up the Goff comparison to Mahomes. It's Super Bowl Sunday!

Mahomes (the greatest thing since long, slender legs) was playing like hell cometh over! Obviously, his o-line was the big factor in that. What's wrong with comparing him to Goff? I think nothing! The game hadn't had much to comment on as boring as it was. The media killed Goff after his Super Bowl performance. They better come out and rip billionaire dude to hell! Sure they won't, right.

Anyway. I definitely didn't feel like you were starting another Goff thread. Just making some comments.

All good dude!
