We can't do anything this year. But we need to bring in somebody who can pose some sort of challenge this off-season. I don't know what else to do at this point. This is the first time I've ever doubted that Goff could be the guy. But it has reached a point where I just can't excuse the turnovers anymore. There's no justifying that throw. It was a disastrous decision.

When Goff came out I remember one of the things I was most excited about was his ‘Peyton Manning’ style feet in the pocket and his general pocket awareness. Granted being in the UK you don’t get much college football, let alone Cal football but what happened? Did he get too comfortable behind those ‘17 and ‘18 offensive lines, something he never had before or since?
