I hope they sign Aleric to a long term deal. It frees up a draft gamble on a position that they already have in house. There’s no doubt that AJ is a better left tackle.
I just wish he was more reliable.

Keep an eye on Ersery out U Minn. Kind of a sleeper but starting to get noticed.
Is it just me or does it seem like he's more of a waist bender than a knee bender?Ersery was impressive against Abdul Carter.
Right there with you on being leery about any big money, long term deal with Alaric Jackson.Something about Alaric Jackson doesn't strike me right. Him being suspended a few times without an explanation and his injury history.
I don't feel comfortable signing him long term to a top notch contract. It seems every time we do that we get burned, I'd rather draft a young inexpensive top tier LT and this is the draft to do it since there is a plethora of talent.
If he is there at our pick and the doctors sign off on him, i'd run the card to the commish.Wonder if he's still a first rounder? Might fall too right around our pick...
Seems pundits don't have him that high which surprised meIf he is there at our pick and the doctors sign off on him, i'd run the card to the commish.
I agree. When I first saw how high he played I didn’t think he’d be that tough. . He handles speed well. I can’t imagine him handling power with his stance. Is it just me or does it seem like he's more of a waist bender than a knee bender?
Brugler has him going to the Rams in his first mock draft.
I'm having a really hard time on Jackson. Six weeks ago I would have said we gotta suck it up and take the OT due to him missing the first two games for some BS, the blood clots, and just not really being a LT who can grow into a great blindside protector. But now I am not sure. Of late he has played through some injury, and he's been our best lineman.Something about Alaric Jackson doesn't strike me right. Him being suspended a few times without an explanation and his injury history.
