The Eagle player ran into the Umpire and knocked him down, so they stopped the clock because they could not place the ball because that is the umpire's job. I was pissed too when they added more seconds on the clock, I was yelling at the Ref (Umpire) get the hell up, but the Eagle was pretty stupid running him over.

If you rewatch it... the eagle player grazed him at best. It was bullshit that he acted like he had to stay down that long. The amount of time they stopped the clock for to let the whiners walk up to the line, get set, call the play... it was just too much.

the eagles failed to follow the golden rule - don't give the refs the chance to fuck you. they didn't follow it and they got fucked.

last week the rams had the bills at 3rd and 22 then 3rd and 25. the game should have ended long before they gave the refs the chance to fuck them. they didn't follow the golden rule and they got fucked.

He was shoved into the umpire by a whiner player. I thought it looked like the whiner player did it intentionally.

LOL.... OOOOHHHH!

That's insane. Hearing the Aussie accent of the play by play guys really adds to the whole experience of watching that.

I assume that dude was ok. No doubt he got a concussion though.

Wtf!! did he ever walk again?

Lols... yes he was knocked out and fortunately he did walk again

The player who knocked the ref out actually strained his groin while attempting to hurdle him and was unavailable the next week!

.. Brandon Aiyuk he is not ... :sneaky:

National Rugby League referee Tony De Las Heras was knocked out cold last Friday night after being bumped over then kneed in the head as the South Sydney Rabbitohs charged towards the tryline against the Brisbane Broncos at Suncorp Stadium.

Ref De Las Heras says he remembers nothing from the incident which left him lying motionless on the turf. Jamie Simpson accidentally collided with him, before Broncos forward Tonie Carroll knocked him unconscious with the knee, sending him to hospital.

“I don’t remember anything, fair dinkum,” De Las Heras said afterwards. “I’m OK. I’m still a bit dazed and have got a couple of headaches. I’m still pretty crook. I’m just nowhere.”

Simpson, who hurdled over De Las Heras after bumping him over, actually suffered a grade one groin strain, later describing the collision as a freak accident.

“I was just speaking to Tony then and he said there was nothing I could do,” Simpson said.

“He said I was heading for a try if I went the other way but I ran into him. I thought I was in for a try – all I could see was the white line, which is why I couldn’t see him.

“I told him I was sorry, that I didn’t mean it and I wanted to just check up on how he is.”

The man whos knee actually made contact with the ref, Carroll, missed the next match after injuring himself from the contact with the refs ‘noggin’.

“That knee he whacked the ref with is a bit sore,” Broncos coach Ivan Henjak said.

“I’m hoping it’s not a long-term thing with TC, maybe another week.”

* fair dinkum; phrase of dinkum; INFORMAL•AUSTRALIAN/NZ -- used to emphasize or seek confirmation of the genuineness or truth of something. "Eric and his assistant are fair dinkum magicians" ;)

What is the name of this rule?

Seriously, it needs a name if it doesn’t have one...:D

I think the Niners got fucked on one call? Weird play & now I don’t remember it.
Well it was actually a pick play that wasn’t called & the announcer said the WR just got enough of the defender?? WTF - I don’t know about some of these Ref’s & announcers.
It’s not that I wanted the 9ers to win,but on a 4th down play?? A call has to be made there.
The Rams Wr’s do well running solid routes to not have that called. When it happens & no call can change a game. That no call was BS.

I just wrote about a 4th down pick? So it works both ways. Mullins sucks anyways. His INT was pretty bad.I don’t think I watched after that, because I knew the 9ers lost.
