So you think the Rams will carry 5 CBs even though Lake can essentially be counted as one when he’s in the slot?
I hope so, if that’s what it takes for the Rams to draft some young blood back there because they’re keeping Wallace.
That is don't know, but at points last year, they had six on the active roster.

Corner was at the top of my draft wish list. Now its not. So maybe we look at the depth. I'm thinking McCollough, Wallace, Lampkin, Ingle and Forbes. I thought Forbes showed some promise in the first half. But later in the year he seemed to have lost that mojo. He was a first round pick. Which means the talent is there. I'm hoping he figures it out this year.

I would consider it strange however, if not one CB played STs. Even ramsey was out there trying to block kicks when he was here.
Yes but we don't lack dudes who will do whatever on special teams. Rams field a full unit. We just don't stack our bottom roster with special teams acumen as a priority. Which I think is a requirement if you want to win in that third phase.

I haven't noticed him on teams. So not sure what the Rams think of him there. His value is his versatility but at some point if you want good special teams those guys on the bottom of the depth chart need to be prioritized for it.
He was on them at least in the NFCC. Forbes was shown in the replay of smiths punt fumble. He was chasing the guy who got the fumble, but stopped and turned around 10 yards from smith because he figured smith would catch the ball. Another example of ST coaching or effort very lacking. I hope those things are coached up with the new emphises.

Excellent point, especially if the Rams want to continue using 13 personnel as a staple. They will have to carry 4 on the roster and another stashed on the PS.

This is a big year for Allen. If he can’t leap over Higbee at least, he might not be re-signed. He might have to get ahead of Parkinson as well if he wants to stay—have a hard time seeing that.

So yeah, there is definitely gonna be at least one opening at TE next year.

Well easier said than done.Wait until after preseason & another season under his belt.Especially
after all that tape & knowing the 13 personnel.

It’s going to be a numbers game.Who steps up ??

So how fast is Tru Edwards? He was in track I think, hurdles. Also I thought I heard he was coming off an injury. He did look good in pre season.
His size & play was impressive during the preseason.
Like I said in another post as well
B. Presely had a couple big catches as well.
—Add the pickup of Tyler Scott from Da Bears & possible draft picks(UDRFA).The Rams scouts seem to have an eye for talent.
3- 7th rd picks in 2026 until they don’t.

They are different, McCollough hits like a truck and is very good on a blitz, whereas, Valcarcel is better in coverage and has more range. McCollough has a Toby Wright vibe & Valcarcel is more like Keith Lyle, if that helps.

Doesn’t Tanner Engel have a nickname Sean Mcvay uses when talking about him & he almost made The Rams roster ?

BTW is only 23 while Jaylen is 25
Tanner is 26

I gotta say, I just wasn’t that impressed with Wallace last year when he filled in for Lake. I thought Forbes played better as a CB (although different assignments), and McCollough is a better Safety. Without STs in his repertoire, I think that’s the spot for a draft pick.

I would consider it strange however, if not one CB played STs. Even ramsey was out there trying to block kicks when he was here.
Dude your comparing apple to oranges. Then again don’t forget about the ripeness date ?
In 2025 Jaylen really stepped up at times.
Wallace was thrown in the fire when flames were burning. He came out of it with a lot of experience.I’ll say against the cowboys in there scrimmage imo he should have been cut.Gets caught flat footed.I’d say his growth was there, but how much further a long with the offense is a different story.

IMO - your way FREAKING OFF(your rocker), on this. I guess this all you have to go by is?
It will be interesting to see who comes in the picture during training camp.

Well I could think a different way with examples, but in theory your right. The Rams need a ILB & I’m sure will play special teams.
Forbes I can’t see starting & playing special teams.I can go on with examples.

Wallace will be a big factor in their plans. He got nearly 200 snaps last year and 86 the year before.

CBs are McDuffie - Watson - Forbes - Wallace - draft pick(s).

The draft picks will probably surpass Wallace and maybe even Forbes, but I think Wallace will be on the roster.

Lampkin is PS.

Agreed. Wallace gives us depth versatility - if Lake goes down, McDuffie could go inside/travel if we play JSN. He could stay outside if we're playing against the Eagles and Wallace could fill in for Lake.

If Lake needs to play safety, same deal.

So Wallace unlocks a lot of versatile options with our secondary. Forbes does that on the outside. I do think we draft a CB, but it'll most likely be a later pick, more around getting a special teams demon

Dude. I'm guessing you know what you're trying to say because I sure as hell don't.
Come On What GIF by MOODMAN

Just to add an Old Dude who was solid on the Rams 2018 Superbowl run. This is before he was a Ram though.Big heart & ran well .
This is why he may get squeezed on the roster if they draft another corner in the first few rounds.

WHAT ?? I don’t even think 503 believes that, but he still doesn’t know what he’s talking about anyways. — lol

Little Forbes wheel goes round & round round & round.

Maybe I'm wrong....

This thread seems to be more about what's at the bottom of a popcorn bag.... Basically hoping to find popcorn instead of a handful of kernels.
The best thing to have at the bottom of your popcorn bucket is a hole. Keep it on your lap so your movie date can easily reach it.
