Okay, so there are 53 players on the roster plus another 18 on the practice squad. One guy in 6 years wants out and McVay is the problem? He's losing his players? Laughable. I wonder, if the Rams were 6-0 or 5-1 and Akers was pissed, wanting out would McVay be the problem? I think there's more to this story than meets the eye. I've speculated it's possible somewhere in that locker room Akers made a comment about the OL blocking and it didn't sit well with his team mates.

Foolio has no clue whats going on behind the scenes and he comes up with this. Pretty shoddy journalism. National Enquirer stuff. I guess things are pretty bad when you to resort to this stuff for views, clicks, ratings or whatever you call it. He's wading into yellow journalism.

Oh, I'd say he's fully immersed.

Whatever "success" he has, he brings zero value to the world of sports media.

That is right up there with "Unnamed sources close to...."
Meaningless nonsense from Foolio.

One day I’d like to see what a pro franchise looks like that every single player loves the coach and is 100% happy with the situation (money, playing time, usage, etc.) - and continues that for multiple years. Good luck
Hell, any workplace.
If you ran a pot dispensary and gave away free supply and over paid with full benefits there would be people who hated it.

Mr. Florio, what you have just written is the most insanely idiotic thing I've ever seen. At no point in your rambling, incoherent article was there anything that was even close to resembling a rational thought. Everyone in this forum is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your collie-molesting soul.

Who care if he is or is not ! I am sure Belicheat wears on some Patriots and look what he has done.
I seen Cam hitting holes lazily, I am sure Sean did too.
McVay got us our ring and will get us many more.
Pay the man and leave him alone. We finally have our Bill Walsh (who was almost a Rams HC)
Florio can piss off.

At least Florio didn't write a whole article about it. He was making a side comment of speculation during his "PFT Live" show.

Florio as much as admitted that he had zero evidence to support his opinion.

I’m not at all interested in the Will he retire or leave stuff.

I think the stuff about McV wearing on his players is more interesting. I’ve said before that preparation is one of his biggest strengths but sometimes also his weakness as things play out and unfold on gameday.

IMO his teams and some of the lesser players show an inability to free form in certain situations. To just go out and play football. McV is so incredibly organized and in full control of every aspect of the offense that sometimes, I feel that when things aren’t going well with a gameplan…he tightens the leash even more so than it already is and the players play much tighter and a little scared.

It’s hard for me to explain. We know McV wants high IQ players who can think and play the game like he does as a HC. That’s great but when none of that is working, many of these players seem to have been engineered(so to speak) to not bring anything else to the party.

This offense and McV in my opinion has trouble improvising on the fly when it’s time to throw the plan out the window. It was worse with Goff at QB.

I want to use the term robots instead of instinctive football players. That’s prob too harsh and an overstatement but helps me get my point across.

If I’m right, I could really see that kind of control wearing on some players who are more pure football players rather than “thinkers” with skills.

That’s just my observation. The pluses of what McV brings to the table outweigh the negatives by far. Preparation is huge in coaching obviously and McV has brought hugely successful results since coming in. Just the manner in which he’s been able to manage the entire thing is impressive.

I think he’s still growing as a HC and will only get better with time.

TLDR version: Lighten up with the gameplan and let your players have some fun as well as be football players.

You come with this philosophy on your thoughts & as it is of right ?

I don’t see it. I go to training camp & listen to Mcvay a lot. He does say the same things, but he runs his team with all the same concepts. That part of his chart does not change.

Sean Mcvay has & always will be about We not Me. I’d say listen to Cohens interview before Carolina.
The fact there’s another OC with The Rams should tell Ram Fans a pretty good story. He produces a beautiful coaching Tree!

There a lot of change. Sean Mcvay always LOVES his DIVAS!! Ram Fans want it both ways. OBJ ? Von Miller?

Of course your Favorite JLen RAMsey.
Bringing in Eric Weedle & getting rid of Kenny Young & DJ1 ? I mean his in house stuff is very clean. We can go back to Gurley as well.

Your post says a lot & I get it.Just would like some examples. I don’t agree either though.I do think his play calling is Very Questionable.Matthew Stafford is a gu slinger. Those 6 pick six’s though in less than a season in a half is not all that good. (I’ll post below)

Yeah - classic. I don’t know is all you have to hear. I don’t know.

Making Bulls—t up in that there is a problem. The problem is injury’s & not addressing the O’Line with Creed of KC. Brusss might be a bust? Just an example of missing out & then over drafting. Not to say Sean Mcvay & staff development of players isn’t exceptional.

A’ Jackson will have a tough assignment? The O’Line is going to have to make a difference.Scared on defense against this tough team.

What I know is Cam Akers was a UNWILLING BLOCKER!!! You can yell or tell a player until your blue in the face to do something. That’s when you have to part ways.

Mcvay said never say never so we’ll see. I know Jalen RAMsey us to say I’ve got his back. Here it is & we don’t know for sure?

I think the respect factor is THERE!! Kendrick’s & Durant we’re nice pickups. I’d say they are a loud to play free. RAMsey getting his first to sacks in 2 games in a row was cool to see.
A Robinson making plays helps.

Then he shouldn’t have said it
