Still kind of amazing to me that the Rams offered two firsts and a second for Brian Burns... AND the Panthers turned the offer down.I am not feeling it with Burns. Too much draft and salary capital for now. We are not in THAT mode yet.
It’s all about ascending back to the top……….in 2024.I still say a trade in the next month would be more about 2024 than 2023.
Rams have a track record of preferring a "proven commodity" over a premium draft pick. (Trades for Ramsey, Stafford, Miller, for example).
Rams might think a veteran "proven commodity" would have a surer chance for immediate impact in 2024 as opposed to a premium 1st round rookie.
So yeah, I think it's entirely possible the Rams trade their 1st round pick. I just think it would be more about making that "last run" with AD, MS, and CK in 2024.
Could the Rams make a run in 2023? Yeah, maybe, if everything goes just right, and with amazing luck on the injury front. But the Rams have a great chance to be LOADED in 2024.
Patience, grasshopper
Garrett's easily worth 3 1sts.A 1st is more like a ... Myles Garrett, etc.
They will trade up to insure they get their next QB1 to start in 2025. It's a matter of how many 1s it will take.
Lmao - trade ? Did anyone say Trade ? I’m sure he didn’t mean the what number draft pick ?Yet you’ve asked us to flag it?
I couldn’t believe what The Rams were offering last season to get him.Burns for our 1st round pick...
That would be considered thievery by Snead against the panthers.
Hopefully Carolina is dumb enough to agree to that trade!
One thing that gets lost is you save money on draft choices. I am all for trading for proven commodities, but that can kill your cap situation and because of that I believe you need to balance it out accordingly. This is the year to have a first round selection. If not QB, Joe Alt, if he's even there.I'd prefer they didn't this year.
