I imagine ATL, Vikings or the Giants would love to throw a 2nd round pick at Fields.
I don’t think he’d fit the Vikings offense at all. O’Connel really wants to get Cousins signed this winter. He was playing very well before the injury.

Is Fields a big upgrade over Ridder? (I’m asking. I have not seen Atlanta play at all). I think the most likely of the three would be the Giants. I could see the desperation and ego from Daboll thinking that he could turn Fields into a better passer. However, Daboll does seem to be committed to Jones as the starter.

I’m standing firm in my belief that picks one and two will be done by teams trading up. Murray isn’t the answer in my opinion, but I also feel Murray is good enough, and the cards have too many holes in their roster. Trade down for more picks.

Fields has shown some improvement, and it may be too early to give up on him. If they can trade down and still land a top wr for him, give him one more year. In fact, they can trade down and still end up with Harrison at 4 and a tackle at whatever spot they move their other 1st for

If both these QBs fail, you have two first rounders to trade up with next year, giving those rookies a better roster to work with.

I think Cousins could be had at a discount now with Vikings and may be his best bet. Ridder is cooked. Fields is definitely an upgrade and has more runway to possibly become good.

Chicago has Carolina's pick, and they may well take a QB.

Arizona apparently want Harrison.

NE will take a QB.
Oops forgot about Chicago owning Carolina's pick

I just watched the Carolina Titans first half and Bryce Young is just too short.

On one play - he had a wide open receiver on the sideline and he was in a clean pocket and he had to jump throw it over the lineman to get the pass off and overthrew the receiver by 10 yards. Just an awful awful throw.

I think Fields has shown enough that a team might be willing to trade FOR him, and that would free up Chicago to take Williams.
I wouldnt want Fields, but given he has another year on his contract for peanuts, and the 5th year option available, I could see a team offering a day 2 pick.
After Williams, there doesnt appear to be a clear cut #2 QB. Maye may have found himself dropping out of the top 10. If I had to wager on it, I'd say Jayden Daniels would be the #2 QB taken

Wait? Wut? Why is Maye dropping out of top 10, let alone top 2?

I’d say a weak draft review & lack of knowledge about the value of a QB in The NFL.

-You know I love The Rams having Carson Wentz as a backup QB.He such as solid veteran leader who has been on Super Bowl teams.

Seeing him on the sidelines & giving players love on the sidelines really shows his character & being a team first player.

THE RAMS AREN’T trading for a backup QB(starting)in 2024.Mark that down for sure.

Just thoughts about Bo Nix? Your thoughts about Les Snead & how or what he thinks about certain players & connections?

I’d say this Friday is going to be huge for making a statement in college football.Bo still has a lot to prove & will be in the eyes of the spotlight. How he handles it will make a big difference.I have a view of my thoughts.

Yeah Fields can be tagged and flipped if he turns it on. If not it doesn't matter. If I'm in that GM's shoes I take QB with one of those two first round picks and use Fields as a bridge for next year while the rook redshirts. Just comes down to which one they like but when it comes to QBs you gotta be careful. By way of example if they like the LSU kid then you might want to just take him at 1 even if people yell reach. Never know what teams have guys ranked which way, so much of QB is a dice roll, so take the one you like if he's there.

Also I expect a guy like Fields will play a ton better next year, it being a FA season and all. And a kid behind him who has great natural game would push him even more.
Fields if he's cut would be a backup I wouldn't mind McVay and LaFleur working with tbh.

There will probably be a run on OTs too, given that it's a big need for us. :laugh3:

Because year 2 as a starter he's fallen off dramatically. Turnover prone, inaccurate passer, poor decisions in big moments
I was a big fan going in to this season, and watching most of his games gives a different impression.

Debatable.
Not in the slightest.
2024 salary is only 1.6 mill. Trey Lance brought back a 4th rounder and will cost 6.25 mill over 2 years and hasnt come close to showing Fields ability. Of course a team would trade for him if on the market

Stranger things have happened. Neither of them have done shit in the league so nothing would surprise me. Also I said IF not WHEN he's cut.
