I don't see much of drop off between Purdy and Jones at QB. Watching pieces of that game, Shanny is very good at scheming guys open, particularly TEs. Its beneficial that Kittle will out when we play, but, he will have plays to get the TE open.
Covering the TE is always a focus with the Whiners. That and CMC. Pearsal seems to be emerging big time too.
All that said, I think the Rams should be able to pass all over the Whiners.

FWIW, he was a tireless worker at Ohio State and a good teammate per many reports. IMO, he worked diligently at his craft to be a first round selection, but now that he is in the NFL, he might not have realized you have to work twice as hard, which requires not only physical preparation, but mental preparation and film study too.

Dude thought his shit didn't stink during the pre draft window to include the combine. Said back then that he's a good weapon over the middle, but that is a hard living in the NFL and you need to be mentally tough to sustain it. Look at what it did to Kupp, who never waivered and got worn down to a nub. Outside the hash he's athletic enough but not special. I think he is very similar to the occasional "great athlete" TEs who end up going very high and who also mostly seem to bust at this level.

The beauty of it all was him being taken ahead of Nabers by a division rival. Ahhh. Goddamn I love me some hot divisional draft schadenfreud action.
