He's been there for awhile........according to him he has a family health crisis that took him there. He needed to be in LA to handle things.

Yeah, one or both of his parents are in bad health. He said that even if the rams had stayed he would be moving. Its good for rams fans to still have him as part of the broadcast, his enthusiasm is infectious.

As shocked as I was this guy made the pros, I'm not surprised by this move...not sure where he went to highschool, but he's from UCLA....

Bout time we got some true homers on our announcing team....

I believe he is from Oakland and went to University of Washington where he won a national championship.

I knew it. It was just too strange that he was in LA doing interviews with ESPN during the Fast Lane hours....I have been calling for this since the NFL announced the relocation results. I am underwhelmed by the knowledge of LA broadcasters, PARTICULARLY on the "Ram's Station" at 710 ESPNLA....Farr's knowledge will make him a giant among midgets.

Washington not UCLA.

Folks in St. Louis have know this for a while. My guess he will be doing radio or TV on the West Coast.

Best of luck to Farr and his family.

Sounds like family health first and luck that the Rams moved to where he needed to be. Good luck. I liked listening to him over the years when links have been posted.

Yes he is from UW, but actually grew up near Oakland in Richmond, which is the town just on the other side of the Richmond Bridge from San Quentin. Turn North and drive 5 minutes to the Goff home in Novato.

From 49ers country just like Goff. Now it does not matters what part of the state they developed in.

Best news I've heard in a while! Now to work on Steve Savvaet moving to LA!

According to some twitter reports, Farr will be a sideline reporter during games, and will be a guest host on 710 ESPNLA
