McGlinchy is a younger version of Havenstein. He's not a LT...gave up 6 sacks last yr. Don't need him especially at his price tag.Ain’t no way the Rams can afford McGlinchy. Dude will get paid $$$

The Jets Nate Herbig makes sense. Good size OG, solid starter, affordable and still young. We NEED an IOL FA. I think Nate Davis would be the right balance between cost and value. We could use a LT but Brown is out of reach and McGlinchey is a RT. I think Rams draft an EDge early but if not we need another starter so would need to go FA. Ngakoue would be great but too much $$$ so someone like Jerry Hughes might help.
What? How does a weak OT blocking the outside guy affect the 3 inside guys blocking 2? The pressure I saw.....up the middle.....all year.....wasn't because one of them was helping a T. It was because they couldn't pass protect worth a crap. Of course by week 3 we were on our 2nd C and 3rd RG.Yes but a lot of times if your tackle is weak it makes the guards have to compensate and opens up a free for all. Also if Bruss is even average that would be a help.
Always seems underwhelming to me. Now their LT that is a different story.McGlinchy is a younger version of Havenstein. He's not a LT...gave up 6 sacks last yr. Don't need him especially at his price tag.
He's played 23 of 50 games the last 3 seasons (or is it 51) can't remember when they started the 17th game). Pass for me if he does get cut.Always seems underwhelming to me. Now their LT that is a different story.
Sticking with the LT I read maybe David Bakhtiari will be cut to save $ super great LT unless the injuries have caught up with him. Not he sure falls in my theory find a Whit like LT really great and team thinks he's over at 35. Whit didn't have the injuries that Bakhtiari has had but he is even better than Whit. Is he worth the risk.
Just an FYI, should @AvengerRam and @Angry Ram ever face-off, I am buying a ring-side ticket.
You'd be treated to a guantlet match. One guy after the other.
Because a good tackle left or RT can cover up for a weaker guard especially if OLB is making moves to the inside a strong tackle left or right can power up plug up just cause enough congestion to buy that extra second let alone the fact that the LT is the blindside of most qbs. If you look around the league most teams with a poor LT typically struggle even with good guards or centers. Also besides a handful of tackles and one we know real well how many 13- 20 sack DTs are running around the league with those numbers??? There's a reason edge gets paid top money as opposed to DTs and I understand stunts etc still a smart powerful above average LT will always be more useful also why they get paid a fortune. What? Hell to pay if the Rams don’t get a stud Edge and OG/OC via FA/draft. That’s all ima say. It's gonna be funny when all we sign is something crazy like WR.

My bad. I should have included trade. So FA/Draft/Trade. My response was a little facetious so when I say “stud” what I really mean is a very good starter for several years.Keep in mind that signing 'studs' in free agency will have a severe impact on our 2024 Comp. picks. If we lose Mayfield, Gaines, A'Shawn Robinson, Matt Gay, Nick Scott & Taylor Rapp, then sign some expensive free agents of our own, those future compensatory picks will likely evaporate. This year my preference would be acquiring new players by way of trade. jmo.
