I don't hate the Cowboys. Weird since I live here in the Dallas area.
I think there are a few reasons I don't hate them.
1. We beat them last time we met in the playoffs. Therefore my coworkers couldn't be assholes, and most praised the Rams.
2. My Hate for the Niners is deep-seated. When the Cowboys took down the Niners in the 90's it carved a little space in my heart for them.
3. Hate is a strong word. I try to reserve it for things completely void of worth.

I mostly hate their fans—I lived in Dallas 2005-20011–they hide when they suck and then dust off their Enmmit/Aikman/Irvin jersey and strut around and talk s## when they win a couple of games.

This. It's mainly the fans that I can't stand that makes me dislike the team. Cowgirl fans are excellent shit-talkers before a game, then excellent hiders when they lose.
On the can't hate Cowboys list for me is Jerry Jones, who helped bring the Rams back to L.A., even though for his own benefit he was very vocal on the move. But I don't like Dak or Zeke, especially that Ewok. So F the Cowgirls!
Yeah, I'm kinda in @Classic Rams camp. I have a lil less hate for them for Jerruh helping sway the vote. Besides that, yeah... the Cowboys blow goats....

This is the 1st football game I ever bet on. My friend's dad was a doctor and huge cowgirl fan. He kept laughing at me about the Monday night game that was coming on that night between my Rams and his cowgirls. He finally asked me what I could afford to bet... he said he wouldn't believe it unless I showed him the actual cash. Well, I had a one dollar bill in my pocket so I slapped it down on the table.
So, Dr Drain (that is his real name) agrees to bet me a dollar on the game. He makes me shake his hand and explains how important it is to always pay if you lose. He fucking lectured me about it and how I better not cry like a girl when I had to pay him after the game. He talked more shit than most people could ever dream of about how the cowgirls were going to stomp my Rams that night.
I went home long before the game started. I watched that game with a little more interest than normal mainly because we would earn a playoff birth with a win... but having been lectured about the dollar and shit was on my mind as well.
The Rams kicked the shit out of the cowgirls that night. The next day... I saw Dr Drain getting out of his car and walking into his house. I know he saw me, but he didn't acknowledge me... he just went into his house. Later that week... I asked my friend to get me my whopping $1 from his dad since he still hadn't paid me. The fucker's house was directly behind mine btw. It took that SOB like 3 weeks to pay me. It got to the point that I would even yell out to him about my stinking 1 dollar when I'd see him outside.
When he finally did pay me... he fucking paid me in pennies. So, I put them in a penny roll and asked my Mom to take it to the bank for me and change it into a dollar bill. Guess what???... the bank teller counted the rolled pennies and discovered there were only 98 in the roll. The fucking Dr who lectured me about the importance of paying your debts shorted me when he finally paid me. I couldn't believe it.
Apparently, Dr Drain was so upset while he watched this game that it really bothered him. The fact that he was gonna have to eat crow from me was like icing on the cake for his anger. When I finally got all this information... it put a big smile on my face knowing the pain he had endured. I also learned never to bet with a cowgirl fan again.
This is that Monday Night game...

Cowboys fans are mostly marketing victims--they have the most overinflated impression of their team, due to the media-darling feedback loop. (Just read an article about an hour ago mentioning how "most experts" considered them SB favorites last year, and do again this year.) Haven't they averaged .500 for about 25 yrs now?
