he was waived ibjured, no obe signed him. he reverted back to our IR, but i saw a few days after that tgat he was released with an injury settlement.

I still dont get why tbey gave up on him other than he is simply hurt and not able to play or is just damaged goods and not likely to last due to last year's injury. Odd thing is he played in last preseason game and made a lot of plays and I don't recall him leaving the gane hurt, although I did nod off in the 2nd half.

I could be wrong but I dont think the Rams "gave up" on him. he was hurt and going to miss several weeks so their options were keep him on active roster while injured or IR with designation to return. neither are worth it for a bubble player so they waived him and since hes not worth wasting a spot on while injured, no one signed him so he went to rams IR. he likely didnt want to sit this whole year out so the rams likely did him a favor by coming to an injury settlement so he could join a team when he heals up

@Rainram Sounded like many people had questions regarding what constitutes a "reasonable suspicion" to conduct a search and seizure. Obviously, if you notice a rifle muzzle in the front seat, that's plain sight and the driver's going to have a bad day.

However in the scenario with Westbrook, a CHP made the arrest. Aside from my example above what would necessitate his alleged charges, but not force him to be charged with impairment, alcohol, drug possession from an officer applying reasonable suspicion correctly?

he was stopped, no drugs or alcohol in the arrest. It's all about the gun, guns are serious, but who knows who the gun belonged too. It will all be out shortly

Gun was reported stolen in 2009, was loaded, and had a high capacity clip. Overall, 5 felony charges. The dude is f'ed unless he has an amazing reason for possessing it but I can't think of one. They don't screw around on stolen gun charges. You'd think you would go the speed limit if you're a moron with a stolen gun. Just ridiculous.

Honestly surprised he hasn't been released yet. They cut bait with Walker so fast, and he was innocent. Apparently.

That's my philosophy. Never do two illegal things at once.

Stolen gun? An NFL player? WHY? You make enough money to buy any kind of gun you'd like to have in your car. Why a stolen gun you knucklehead? Maybe hanging with the wrong people and making bad decisions? Well, he did get a tat on his damn mug. That was brilliant.

Good ole California...

In my state...
  • Carrying a loaded weapon - OK
  • Unregistered weapon - OK
  • Possessing high capacity magazine - OK
My state to! Also I'm curious to know how the hell they know Ethan knew the gun was stolen?
It's bothersome that a cop can search a car during a stop for speeding.

WTF is up with that........

That's our POS justice system at its best again!

Doubt I'd ever get a tear tat, but got no problem with it.

Now...if Fisher had been rehired ...

But yeah....depending on where he went, probably needed a gun.

I read through some of the posts here and I’ll stay away from all things political. However, I actually a law enforcement officer. 10 years on. I teach and train new officers as well.

I would be more than happy to answer any and all questions some you may have as to what we do, why we do it, if we can do, etc. etc. I know there are a few lawyers here, but I actually work in the field and have specific insight into what happens during actual incidents/investigations/etc and the training we have.

It’s probably something ROD would want done in a private setting though. But I’m here if people have questions.

One of the things that I struggle with in seeing and reading things in the current climate, is the disconnect in understanding what we do and why, and whether we are legally allowed to or not. I won’t defend poor law enforcement practice, but I do wish the populace as a whole better understood civics, and I wish law enforcement did a better job of bridging that gap as well.

Here to answer your questions if I can help.

Shit! Everybody scram! It's the cops!.
