I may be wrong here , but I think HWH was taking the sarcastic road.

So to summarize, Smith's only real problem is Riley Cooper not the roster....That is what this is about.

If you want to go on a witch hunt for racist coaches, look at the Patriots roster or is Smith afraid to go after Belichick?

I'm a black man and I think that fool is out there... let's not play racism us a huge part of American culture but not in this case. The NFL is very diverse with the exception of a black majority owner but Khan broke some barriers with that. I don't know which is worse Stephen A. Or Uncle Tom Chuck Barkley. ..smh

Stephen A Smith (what a Dbag with the middle initial in his name) is showing that he is a perfect example of everything that is wrong with the press now.
Throwing something out there that is highly offensive, but, without evidence and without the balls to just come out and say it. The real reason is there is nothing to it. He does not have the integrity to really say what he feels, he does not have the integrity to report what is actually happening....he has no issue smearing someone (albeit in a lame and non committal way) to generate talk and a few clicks for himself.
He is the modern day scumbag.

Legitimate racism happens in America. I believe racism is in a downward trend. Jackwagons like Smith, Sharpton, and Jackson hurt race relations more than help it. You can say Kelly has made some very stupid moves, and be correct, but I don't see how you can point to race.

he didn't call Kelly racist...he mentioned culture...and I'll go a lil sociologist here, you can be any race, but have a certain culture...
Smith, of course, failed to mention some of the white veterans Kelly has released, like James Casey and Todd Herremans, because that would undermine Smith’s thesis
these players, weren't mentioned probably because the major difference is, McCoy, Jackson and Maclin are like, really good. Some of the best at their positions....Would Chip release Herremans or Casey if they were 26 years old and performing at a high level? I point to a player that I've followed a bit, that kid Casey Matthews, Clays brother or cousin...Can't play a lick, but still on the team, I always wonder why. Pretty high draft pick on what I thought was a very average LB...

I doubt they have stats to really tell if the trend is going down because this problem in society is very well hidden...Is Kelly a racist, I would seriously doubt it in an industry with well over a 50% afro-american population...but like a lot of casual observers, his moves are downright confusing IMO. More likely, he is ridding his roster of players that carry too much weight in the locker room. Until he wins something, a playoff game, NFC Championship, most philly fans will swear he's ruining what was once considered a pretty damn good roster that Andy Reid put together...

McCoy, Jackson and Maclin weren't released. Jackson was traded because he was a deterrent who was more of a headache to keep than just let him go. McCoy is being traded to be replaced by a different black guy, so it's not like he's being replaced with a white guy. You also have to factor in McCoy's personal trouble and Maclin is leaving of his own accord. Also it's heavily implied he's going to replace his white QB with somebody who also isn't just white either.

Seems like much ado about typical NFL circumstance. SAS is just a problem starter, it's like giving credence to anything Skip Bayless says. Don't do it, it's a waste of time.

68 percent to be exact.

The sad thing for me is that the people who actually experience real racism and speak up about it may not be heard as much as they should. When you have people inferring or claiming racism that is very much not likely the case, it makes people less likely to listen to any claims. Very unfortunate. So tired of people like this guy saying things because there are so many people in our country that will listen to him and believe what he says without doing any critical thinking for themselves.

Stephen A Smith only yells racist against the Irish!

I think the biggest difference between Mcoy and Matthews is that McCoy holds a hefty salary, as did Desean, and as would Maclin. If anything, Chip is showing that he isn't loyal to the previous regime.
