I doubt we're gonna like the compensation. Thinking 4th round pick. If it's better than that I'll be quite happy.

Don’t even need to see the return to know we got shafted. I REALLY hope OS is up for the challenge because the other dudes are not it.
We were clearly going to let him walk after this season.
Getting something now for him is better than nothing at the end of the season.
Only if we fill the position adequately, of course.

I myself, would rather have kept him.

I'd be fine with a fourth-round pick. Tennessee is going to be terrible this year; they're obviously the bottom in their weak division, and I simply don't trust their offense in the slightest.

Well damn. It is what it is I guess. At least he went to the AFC.

I think most of us feel the same! Except 49's fans. They are loving it.

Likely a provisional pick - if he plays x games we get (draft pick) if he plays less we get (draft pick).

I wonder if his knee is worse than they thought? And if that was a concern why wouldn’t they address LB in the draft?

Well, shit on a stick. I hate that return.

I hope the "we try to do well by our players" aspect of trades like this actual help in free agent conversations.

And as an aside, enjoy Tennessee EJ - it's a big step down from playing in LA.

If they don't make Speights one of the two starters, we are in deep doodoo with Reeder as the 2nd lb

Realistically, it probably had more to do with not wanting to pay a high cap at the position.
The knee history made the decision that much easier
