This guy has yet to prove himself as a decent corner. He's a gamble, and a long shot. Sometimes the longshot wins...hopefully he's a winner for the Rams.

Considering he was rated out as a first round talent and the Rams gave up nothing for him I would put the risk at 0%.
He may fit and find a role, or, he may get beaten out by others that are here.
Witherspoon, Williams, Durant and Kendricks all have spots locked up. Add in Ramsey and there will be a lot of bodies fighting for one spot.

I'd love to see him step up in this secondary. But I'm a bit skeptical due to the team cutting bait on him that quick. Also that's two corners in our secondary who are good natural cover men but weak on the tackling and physicality. Maybe both him and Durant take big steps forward, I gotta see it on the field though.

To my eye, Forbes looked pretty damn good playing press coverage at the end of the video clip posted above.

And yes, looks like he's filled out with some added mass.

Rams must've told him that the only way he sticks in the NFL is if he absolutely committed 100% to developing his physique in the off-season. So far it looks like Forbes is trying to give himself a chance.

We've been hearing that from Tutu for years now and he always comes into camp looking the same size lol

From that video though Forbes does look genuinely bigger than he has in the past, much less twiggy imo

Last year he looked super thin. This year he looks really thin with good muscle tone in the arms especially. Whether it translates to his play on the field is the question.

I saw a news article recently (no link) that Sean and the FB coaching brass have been impressed with Cobie Durant last year and this off-season. This guy flashed promising skills his rookie year but seemed to stagnate somewhat afterward. Perhaps he is ready to step up this season.

Between Cobie and Forbes, we may have the nucleus of a young CB duo. If Ramsey ends up here with the Horns, he can be an infield coach and performer for any secondary position.

I think he’s good in coverage. It’s his tackling that’s a project and Dan Quinn always liked physical corners. Maybe getting cut lit a fire for young Emmanuel, and the Rams will be the benefactor.

I believe that if Forbes does not "impress" in training camp he could very well be cut. He was a first-round pick and I believe the Rams have to pay him like one and will cost too much to sit on the bench again. If I'm wrong please correct me.

Guaranteed money - the Rams can pay him to play, pay him to sit on the bench or cut him and still have to pay him and take a cap hit.
Washington ate the signing bonus on their cap, but Rams still are stuck with the guaranteed portion.
It's not zero risk for the Rams as some have suggested. If he's cut this year, there's going to be dead cap.
Of course, when the Rams already have about 50M in dead cap, 5M more probably doesn't seem like much.
