My Title of the thread is a bit over the top. He’s rubbed me wrong since he left. There’s no humility with him. That doesn’t make him great, it makes him an ass IMO

Well, what made him great is what he did on the field. What makes him an ass sometimes is what he has said since then.

I give him some slack but if I'm snead or Stan I'm like, dude, we love you but you bitch a little.

Why not just invite him to one of the skybox suites that the rams have. I'm sure they will have room for 5 former ram greats who are in the hall of fame

It's not like anyone would say, yeah, it was great but a little crowded because ED, Faulk, Bruce, Kurt, and holt were there.

Wow, I missed hearing about that one. I think ED was a supremely talented RB, but IMHO he's also a selfish, narcissistic, arrogant jerk.

Here's a couple of lines from an interview of him back in '88:

Asked about John Robinson and Ron Meyer, the Colts’ coach who also coached Dickerson at Southern Methodist, Dickerson said: “If you want to know who I have more feeling for, I have more feeling for Ron Meyer, of course. . . . If both of them were out on a lake drowning, I would save Coach Meyer.” Said Gray: “Just let John drown?” Dickerson: “John’s on his own.”

About Jim Everett, Dickerson said: “Jim by no means is any friend of mine, never was a friend of mine.”

Siding with ED here. Would've liked to see him rubbing elbows with Magic in the luxuries when they pan the crowd for stars. Can do without seeing any rappers but love me some ex-Rams in the house.

Eric's always been kinda thrifty though, but in turn the Rams have always been cheap with him. Surprised they didn't give him a carrot cake.

As great a runner as ED was, he's always been a selfish guy. I remember when he was with the Rams the "get paid" issues the Rams had with him, even though he ran be hind a GREAT OLine. Those guys cleared the way for him. Dennis Harrah, Irv Pankey, Tom Newberry, Doug Smith, and Jackie Slater. ED didn't do it alone...THAT WAS A GREAT OLINE FOLKS!!!

They call this guy "The Rambassador"??? NOT!!!

Don't forget Kent HILL, Bill BAIN and Tony SLATON.

All ED had to do was sell his granted tix, buy some sweet ones and write them off as business expense (supporting his new book),.

I love him, tied for favorite RB with Faulk, but he needs to shut his pie hole.

I guess he really values team loyalty... Oh wait!

ED is absolutely a great of the franchise and a legend. Unfortunately we had an owner then that didn't treat a lot of the players or the fans well and his attitude is part of the result as is Warners. Doesn't change that either are among the best Rams ever but when you add in ED's diva nature that he's always had you get things like this. And I find it very hard to believe that ED will not be there tomorrow no matter where his special ass is sitting. If he doesn't go then shame on him.

Dickerson can come off and whiny and entitled.....bottom line, he is a Rams legend.
He should have an open spot in the owners box for any Rams game.
ED, Slater, Harris, Youngblood, Pace, Bruce, Warner, Holt, Timmerman, Jackson....the list goes on.
Hell, if I were an owner Id have an extra box open every game just for ex legendary players....best chairs, drinks and food as well.
Respect the past while building the future..

Watched ED's, Marcus Allen's and Barry Sanders NFL documentaries in one sitting the other day.
Sanders really does seem the most humble of players.
Allen's situation was confusing as to why he wasn't been used as much for the Raiders.

Dickerson should have been paid and looked after.
He's definitely a character and is the reason I became a Rams fan in preseason 1987. Then he became a Colt. Couldn't believe it.
I don't like to hear bad of him, but he certainly puts it out there.
