IF the Rams take the trade down route - then maximize the haul (trades base on value chart):

Trade R1.26 for R2.48/ R2.62
Trade R2.48 for R3.73/ R3.79

R2.62 - Darian Porter/CB
R3.73 - Jalen Royals/WR
R3.79 - Deone Walker/DT
R3.90 - Anthony Belton/OT
R3.100 - Chris Paul/ LB
R4.126 - T Ferguson/TE (use R6 pick or Parkinson as a trade chip if needed to move up)
Looks like you went the boom or bust route with a couple of those picks.

No one really knows, but whenever I think of trades I try to envision whom the other team might want to trade up for and whether I would do it. That screws things up for me most times.

#26 is too rich for my blood.

That's not abnormal. The percentage odds of success on QBs outside the first round are very low. The fact that we managed to land Kurt Warner, Marc Bulger, and Ryan Fitzpatrick in period of a few years is what's highly abnormal.

Milroe is a lottery ticket. The odds are against him. But he's a special talent. There are only so many guys who have the ability to be an impact player at the QB position. Milroe has that potential. That's why you take the chance. I believe in McVay. And since we'll have some time to develop him, I'm willing to take the risk if he falls to the right spot.
He’s the type of player, along with Dart, who is worth taking a flyer on if you have traded back to accumulate picks

It's gonna be so hard to trade back in this draft when everyone else is looking to trade back too but maybe the best thing for the Rams is that a team falls in love with a Shough or Dart and trades up for one of them. Think it's more likely that happens at top of 2nd though.

I'd want to research why 11 of those fumbles came in 2023 (had only 1 the prior season) though I'd guess not being ready for Aaron Rodger's injury during the first game and Mekhi Becton being his blindside protection didn't help.

Zach Wilson's hands measured in at 9 1/2"

Milroe's hands are even smaller at 8 3/4".
That actually might explain his lack of touch

That may go a long way to explaining his lack of touch which is a massive red flag about his game

His hand size is to be determined along with a lot of other player measurements. There we dozens of players that measured smaller at the senior bowl than they did at the combine. Milroe measured over 9" at the combine.

Teams fall in love with players that other teams don’t. It just depends on if the phone rings after all you can’t exactly call teams asking to trade back

There are plenty of players who fall into that category but I would not expect to receive the value chart value as this year that might be too generous

Is his lack of touch down to his muscle bound physic? I do wonder if it’s correctable which could be a problem especially in our scheme

Could be to this point he's been one of the many young QB's who try to throw every ball as hard as he can. I'm no QB whisperer or pretend to be but I can see the appeal of drafting a guy like him. I'll trust the coach if he chooses to take Milroe but yeah I can see why he'd be appealing.

Yeah, even if you're trading back, it's gonna be easy for the team trading up to drive a hard bargain on picks. We might not get what we normally would in return.
