Hopefully we can make at least a few trades... Just like the Skowronek trade. Sure, only got a 7th rounder in return, but we got Mumpfield in the 7th. Might have even been from that trade.. I forget. Anyway we only get one comp pick next yr and it's a 7th, so let's add more picks if possible.I'm thinking, rather then cutting some of our OL, can't we dangle some guys for a late round trade?
I don't remember which game(s) it was last year, but I remember when Dedich played he more than held his own. I hope he's part of the 53.Last spot is Dedich vs McMahon, Bowles, Leveston, Dooley. Dedich likely to win the 10th spot though I must admit I have not spent any real effort to look at their performances in the first preseason game.
Tough to do because of the AJ blood clotting issue, so I’ll do it both ways. You left out McClendon (double-checking to make sure I spelled it right for the spelling police).
They can't possibly keep all of these candidates on the roster, so if you HAD to select 10, who are they?
Yeah I remember him the same which is why I figure he'll win that final spot.I don't remember which game(s) it was last year, but I remember when Dedich played he more than held his own. I hope he's part of the 53.
AJ is pissing me off. His bullshit last year at the beginning of the season dominoed into Noteboom getting hurt 3 plays in then kept playing and was knocked into Avila leg injuring him. Which got us off to a horrible start.Tough to do because of the AJ blood clotting issue, so I’ll do it both ways.
With: AJ, Avila, Shelton, Dotson, Havs (starting 5)
Humphrey, Dedich, Limmer, Quessenberry , McClendon
Without: Humphrey, Avila, Shelton, Dotson, Havs
Acuri, Dedich, Limmer, Quessenberry, McClendon
lol, I have to say that this is after only one preseason game. I was impressed with both Leveston and Lampkin as well. I want to see if Leveston gets a shot at Tackle, Quessenberry too. Acuri showed a lot of improvement to me but remains the weak link of those ten.
Should both/either Leveston or Lampkin continue to impress while stepping up in class, Quessenberry could be out—unless he shows he is a viable backup Tackle.
The frustrating factor is AJ. Had he come into camp healthy and the Rams didn’t have to bring in two veterans, there would be room for 2 more younger homegrown players. It’s not that I think someone like Leveston will get snatched up, it’s just that I would like to see him occasionally running with the 1’s in practice when a starter needs a day off. That’s the next level of the development process.
IMO Acuri has had his chances, came up short and now has run out of time.Tough to do because of the AJ blood clotting issue, so I’ll do it both ways.
