Mathis would be a better matchup on the edge than Hoecht. Need speed to chase down Hurts.I’m very interested in seeing Mathis on the field.
I’m very interested to see what he can do. Scouting indicated concerns about his run D on edge… hoecht has definitely improved there. Mathis has ridiculously long arms and some explosiveness & bend. If he can help with the pass rush, I’ll be thrilled.Mathis would be a better matchup on the edge than Hoecht. Need speed to chase down Hurts.
I have a feeling our coaching staff feels the same for a good reason. Excited as well!I’m very interested in seeing Mathis on the field.
I don't believe so. McVay said the other day that Mathis was injured 'during the five-day acclimation period'.Did Mathis play a down during preseason? I don’t expect him to see that much action tomorrow.
Where did I say it affects my life. What a strange response that is. We're talkin ball here and we all have varying levels of patience. Why does it bother you how they use him? If they want to start him how does it affect your life? He will stay on the field as long as he can and when he goes down either Dotson or Jackson can come in without a hitch. Don't see what the problem is with that.
As long as the 8 guys they use on game day can block I don't care which way they use them.
.
If we do will you shout Awooga when his name is read out?I’d love us to grab Fashanu
I had to Google that reference. Gladiators was not something I watched. If we do will you shout Awooga when his name is read out?
That, or we lose by 20+ points. The only scenario that will piss me off is if we have them beat then let them off the hook for some BS, like the Cincy game.
Tell me whose starting upfront ?That, or we lose by 20+ points.
I’d expect us to put up a decent fight win or lose, and not get steamrolled.
These guys have played well in Noteboom & Jackson. It was nice to see Dotson play well at RG.There are two differences in Jackson and Noteboom.
First Noteboom has been around longer frustrating fans by not being available.
Second Noteboom as a starter struggled greatly last season as starting LT when he was available.
And I will add that criticizing Noteboom should not require a fucking caveat or comparison with Jackson. Noteboom is a walking injury risk on his own merits. Jackson is apparently following in his footsteps, though I will say he plays well at LT when he is available.
Neither can be trusted though. We need to draft a LT. But for now it sucks ass that we have to hope Jackson can make it through the game.
Few days back I said Boom earned that RG job. But since he cannot stay healthy I must admit swing OT is his ceiling. I am fucking done with hoping he can stay healthy. Give Dotson the nod at RG the rest of the way and let's hope he can show some consistency. If and when Boom returns hopefully we can leave his ass on the bench as swing OT.
We don’t talk about that.A lot of season left ahead but Witherspoon's problem has just been staying healthy. He's been pretty good last 3 or so years but just could not stay on the field. Hopefully he can play a full season and earn himself a contract.
Don’t tell McVay that. It seemed to be his game plan versus Cincinnati and he forgot about the running game.Yes. Our O has to start very fast and we need a couple of quick take aways. Make it so they have to pass to catch up.
