Figure we're a third of the way through the season.. thought it might be fun to just give some "at this point" grades for the draft class.

I think I give the overall class a C+ right now... if you factor in the trade and extra first rounder they got from next year.. it moves up to an A-.

-My grades are weighted to draft position. If you're in the first three rounds.. you need to be no on the roster and active just to get a C grade... making the roster as a 5-7 rounder is at least a C.

-Terrance Ferguson 2nd round.. Grade C.
He hasn't been able to get on the field too much, some of that likely because he fell behind in camp due to an injury. That being said.. some other rookie TEs are showing up... big time. He's getting more snaps every game he's active... so, I think much more is to come.

-Josiah Stewart 3rd round.. Grade B
Stewart hasn't put up big numbers or made any real splash plays yet.. but he is a solid, solid football player. He's been asked to do some interesting things and always seems to be in the right position. Love this kid.

-Jarquez Hunter 4th round... No Grade
Hasn't been made active and there hasn't been a big need... yet.

-Ty Hamilton 5th round... B
A fifth rounder making his way into the rotation for the Dline is a positive. He looks more and more like a real player and you can imagine him becoming an important player in the future. More size than the majority of Rams D linemen.

-Chris Paul Jr. 5th round... F
Couldn't make the roster. That's a fail.

-Konata Mumpfield 7th round... A
You make the team AND the active roster as a 7th rounder.. that's already a B grade. On top of that, made a nice play for a first down today. He looks the part of a #4 or 5 WR on a team.. for a 7th rounder.

Dolac is a B+ as a UDFA.

So far Stewart has been by far our best draft pick. He's had a sack and has gotten close several other times. He shows up a lot when watching games if not on the stat sheet. Dude is going to, at the very least, be a baller in the pass rush rotation for years to come. Hamilton, Mumpfield, and Ferguson all seem like they will be big contributors at some point but not sure it'll be this year other than rotational opportunities. So far I'd give the draft a B for huge potential but that could go up or down by end of season.

I'm a bit annoyed in how they're using Fergy. Like the jet sweep or whatever with the key block on the edge that got blown up. Dudes like him with those long legs aren't great at quick acceleration type plays. Send him on wheel routes or put him in the seam or have him sit down on a pop pass so Stafford can pickup an easy four yards on the checkdown.

Some of these guys haven’t got enough snaps for me to consider a grade yet.

But yea Dolac, and Stewart look real good.

No QB, CB or lineman still make this draft suspect in my book. Or as the kids say Sus.

Just a WEAK view imo !

I guess you just want The Rams to draft by position & not by player & needs.

How did Warren played .Don’t know what you think about his future, but he is playing for an extension.Don’t know what you think about MEN vs boys.It takes a while to develop players.

Just have to LMAO is all, that’s my grade (school). Add D. Williams keeps making plays.Spoon is still out,but Durant is playing for a contract.Looked like Forbes held his own. Then there nickel guys.

Since we’re talking about rookie grades I’ll leave Blue Eyes out of it.Shaun Dolace is on the smaller side, but compared to a safety of CB in nickel situation.I’d say keep him out there on 3rd downs. He covers well for a LBer & brings a little more juice in the middle. It was nice to see him get some reps.
He still has something’s to prove down in & down out.
The future looks good for The Rams.

Every game now the Rams seem to have one or two bad play calls on offense that make me go what (Stafford on short yardage)>>>>>>>>>>> That play for Ferg. was one was one of them too.
