The Rams have the pieces to get this defense going because there are enough pieces in the secondary to cover well enough to make up for the pass rush they lost.

The Cards however don't have the pieces in the secondary to counter the loss of pass rush. They will be trouble based on their offense though I think. But we should be able to beat them because their defense is going to be smoke and mirrors all season.

9ers will at some point insert Jimmy and recover. Their defense is excellent so they will once again be our rivals for the division.

Seahawks have an excellent defense and even some nice pass game weapons but I don't think their offense can sustain well enough. If Petey can keep his run game rolling, however, they will win a lot of games, so it's possible they are around that .500 ball range.

So my answer to this one is No. And the reason it's a no is the 9ers.

Had the Rams beaten them in the season ending game last season, they would have been 9-8 and missed the playoffs. But of course, we beat them in the NFCCG and won the Lombardi so it's all "G".

Well I was LMAO to Niner Fans that last game of the season in 2021(22).

This guy was texting a Gal who was a 9ers fan at SOFI saying the Niners we’re going to put Trey Lance in for Jimmy G.

I sort of got pissed, because Jimmy G is a winner.Henis your prototypical NFL QB who waited his turn & got the 9ers to the SuperBowl who had waited behind the Goat.

Anyways on every pass or Big play I kept going . Come on Shanny, but in your Boy Lance. Come out in Lance.

When Jimmy G won that game I actually was very happy & the way the Playoffs set up for The Rams was awesome!

The Rams beating 9ers in playoffs to win it all priceless & winning it ALL was even more

Probably at least 10 wins but I'd suspect 11 or 12 will nail it down.

It's not just the NFCW, it's the whole NFC. But hey, it's early. I see TB, the Rams, and... that's about it. Rams should stroll to another division title.

It's the first week is my point. The answer to this question won't be formed in week one. Last year week 1 Buffalo didn't look good. Niners and Cards beat two playoff teams. The Chiefs won in the final minute of the game against the Browns. Green Bay had their asses handed to them in a grand ceremony 38-3.

It's week one. It doesn't mean shit. Enjoy the season and in 5 or 6 weeks we'll have a better idea what's going on.
It's now week 6.
Is it still too early to ask if 9-8 wins the NFC West?

The crazy thing is the Seahawks have made as much of a case as the Rams or Whiners. This division is wide open but the game after the bye is very likely to be the difference.

And they all play tough schedules. Only a couple games different with the Rams drawing the toughest.

10 wins likely can win it.

Let me be head ref in the rest of the Ram's games. The Rams will go 14-3 and win super bowl 57. :)

At the bare minimum, I think the Rams will win the west with at least an 11-6 record. I think 12-5 is very realistic.

I said it before the start of the season and I'm saying it again the Rams will face the Bills in the SB and repeat.

OBJ will join the Bills and get hurt in the playoffs. Miller will either miss the SB or be gimpy with an ankle injury. So says my crystal (plastic) ball that I get working after about 6 cervezas (it works best after Modelo Negra but Pacifico works okay). :beer2:

Yeah I think 9-8 could very well win it. And I think we will. Beat SF and we gain some big time momentum....
