Is Cooper Kupp the best WR in the NFL?

Well, let me put it this way.

Would you trade Kupp straight up for any other WR in the league right now if Stafford was your QB? Me neither.

If you were starting a hypothetical fantasy team and could pick any WR you pleased, would you pick another ahead of Cooper Kupp? Me neither.

Not gonna even get into Kupp’s football smarts, blocking, and being a great teammate. Not a hint of diva in Kupp which is unlike so many other top WR’s, huh?

Yeah, I’m probably biased as a Ram fan, but DAMN! If one were to describe a perfect WR it would look and sound a helluva lot like Cooper Kupp. He’s almost too good to be true.

What makes Cooper Kupp is great is his route running ability, similar to what made Isaac Bruce great, however, Kupp also is an amazing blocker plus has incredible hands and his game speed is faster then his timed speed. McVay & his play calling (criticized by some including yours truly) ensures that Kupp has the ability not to be pressed by going in motion and lining up in the slot, but not always like in the Super Bowl for example, however, the pass against is a good example, isolated Kupp against a safety because of a blitz and he blew right by their safety Winfield who could not keep up with Kupp.

Kupp is the not the biggest or fastest, but his precision routes enable him to make plays that other can't plus his hands are second to none, which empowers him to make some catches others can't get to or just plain drop. Overall, nobody works harder at his craft and barring injury & pound for pound, IMO, he's pretty fly for a white guy.

He actually averaged more targets per game when Woods was on the field than after he was out.
Very interesting stat Dieter. Did not realize that.
I guess I'm just worried about him. I think last year
was only the first or second time he remained healthy the entire
season and playoffs.
Thanks for the insight, bro

Well....he's going to be on the field almost every play...the Rams heavy use of 11 personnel. If Kupp isn't running routes and catching passes, he's blocking linebackers and defensive lineman....I don't think there's any hiding him from the physicality of his role.

I don't think there's a QB in the league who loves his WR as much as Stafford loves Kupp....numbers might take a little dip but it wouldn't surprise me to see him lead the league in catches or yards, or both, again.
Yea I know. I guess I'm just worried and maybe overly concerned
about him. Not so much worried about the blocking, because
those are close proximity collisions. It's the shots downfield that concern
me the most. I guess I need to stop the worrying, because it accomplishes
nothing.
Thanks for the well informed post.

He reminds me of another great Ram who was a true student of the game, Mr Faulk
Though Faulk may have had more physical attributes, both of these guys have a
deeper understanding of the game than the majority of their piers.
There is a price to pay to acquire this knowledge. Showing up every morning
at 4am with your QB to study film is certainly a huge part of that.

I’m worried about his health. He talked about his knee & what he has to do to stay on the field.Reggie Scott helps a lot on helping keep him right.

I think the ball will get spread out more, but I don’t have a true feeling right now what the offense will look like this next season.

Fantasy player , I’ll pass.He had such a Great season I would have never dreamt it.

Ramsey had had kupp #4 or #5

Like ive said many times - kupps great attribute is that he is impossible to tackle.

Only Deebo can break tackles like him.
