Unfortunate for us because I know ESPN can pay more than The Athletic
 
I hope she stays on with us, but as a writer myself, I wouldn't blame her if she moves on to netter opportunities; good ones deserve to get paid.

I’m not disagreeing, but how do you know? I think you are probably right, just asking. I have no clue.

ESPN seems to be “cutting back” in recent years. The Athletic is growing subscribers?

she's too smart to work for espn. as in i don't think she could handle the inane dribble she would have to say to be a reporter for them.

you think espn is gonna let her say anything except the most basic football talk and then she will have to be a snake as well? leave dullards like thiry to bow to their conniving demands.
