Jourdan Rodrigue, Rams beatwriter at the Athletic, has been awarded an emerging writer award by the Pro Football Writers of America. I know I am not the only person here who really appreciates and values Jourdans incredible rams writing which is always interesting and informative, and is never gossip or nonsense. What a refreshing change from hacks like Bernie Miklasz that we had to endure for so long.

Well done Jourdan, keep up the good work.

I might point out that last pre-season, when a lot of us here (myself included) had questions about our D going into the season, Jourdan was one voice who repeatedly told us that they were going to be really good. She was right on the money about that, which is a testament to her competence in her job.

Crazy how we have both sides of the spectrum with Jourdan and Thiry. Very happy for her and she definitely deserves this award. Hope she starts to get more and more recognition she does for all the great work she does. It's not just her writing, but the quality of her questions during the press conferences, and the rapport she has developed with coaches and players in only 1 year on the job is very impressive.
