Colts don’t fit the description of brutal. Not taking them lightly but they don’t exactly have Peyton Manning at QB and their running back is not happy with his contract. They are coming off a 4 win season in 2022. The other four teams were all playoff teams.
I didn’t mean they were good. I just listed the first few games. It’s a tough stretch no matter how you look at it.

If the Rams continue to struggle stopping the run, then the colts could be tougher tha. You think. Richardson will run wild on them.

This the first Rams preseason game people have watched under McVay? We generally lose most of our preseason games because he doesn't care about them. It's basic game plans being called by assistant coaches with mostly players who won't make the team. It's just never going to look good as a product on the field.
This, every bit of it

Seeing McVay on the coaches cam tells you all you need to know. He's pumped, and has nothing but accolades. It's basically a scripted game where he wants to see how individuals play in various situations. If Mc was not happy, he wouldnt be that good at hiding.

I want Tyler Johnson over Robinson. I'm sorry, I just feel like he's a better all-around receiver.
I think there is still a lot of story to be told at the WR position
Kupps health
VJ's health and #2 production capabilities
Tutu is he really ready for NFL punishment and production weekly
Puka Nacua he really is the player we need to stand up to the hype. If he plays well that really gives us some stability at WR
D Robinson 3 catches for 17 yards on 9 targets without much separation from what I have seen
T Johnson has looked good but can he play a significant role if RX's above him don't play well

Ben is Ben and will give you what he has shown over the past seasons

In summary, @Memento I have concerns about Robinson and Johnson but at this point I like what I have seen from Johnson more, of
course it is P.S so taken with a grain of salt

I don't really watch the game - I watch the players

Some of them are not impressing me at all (especially on defense)

If the rookies and 2nd year guys could bottle the first half of that 2nd QTR, they'll be very competitive. Saw some good execution, tons of effort in that stretch.

DL just looks talent deficient to me. Looks like a position group with a mix of lesser talents and disappointing former picks, but fortunately headlined by AD. I do like the idea of AD and Turner as an interior duo on pass downs. That might bear some fruit if we can actually get to third down passing situations.

This is Brown's third season. The dude should be in there owning that shit. There should be zero doubt who is next to AD on the nose. At the very least he should own 5T. But he still looks like he's stuck in that rotation depth mix.

I mean everyone is shitting on Edge too (and rightly so for the record) but at least we have guys where we can say "hey maybe we get better there as the season goes on." Young has actual talent for the job. He's never going to be a top rusher but he might be a guy who grinds out sacks and gives us good contain. Question is whether that can happen in his rookie season. Hoecht gets a ton of flak and I have given him plenty, but he did put up pressures last season it's just a question of can he get contain going and how will he do on that strong side which is a tough job vs teams with strong TE and OT duos in the run game.

Safety feels a lot better with JJ added to the mix. It just does. And we felt him instantly vs the Raiders coming up into the box. I have questions with the secondary but at least there are multiple pieces back there that I can see getting the job done at CB1&2 and S1. It's just that question of who is CB3 and S2 but there are options there for the Rams to go with.

So again I'm really worried about the defensive front. And that's in spite of being a huge fan of our DL coach. But honestly Henderson can only do so much.

Anything’s possible but the Colts aren’t anywhere close to the other 4 teams you mentioned in you’re brutal first 5 games. Not even close. You seem to be so intent on pessimism that you’re ignoring logic and facts. I’m just looking at things based on facts not emotion.

Man mosr of those names just ended up being that didn't they?? How many "A" grades were these teams given when they were all drafted?
Touché. Among others, Greedy Williams has seriously bombed

Looking at our potential 53 I wonder if we will stash at least two players on IR and PUP

We need to churn the bottom of the roster come cut downs. A quality NT, MLB and/or CB would help shore up the D. As of now, I think the O is ready to roll. Provided we get adequate play from our LT and the rest of our line we have some stars that will make a serious dent in other teams.

I am optimistic about Young turning in a solid rookie season but Edge is going to take a dip there is nothing else for it

I wouldn't mind bringing him in on a tryout

A space eater which should fit rather well in a 3/4. If he falls to #6 on the waiver list, it may be a mistake to let him get away. Imagine the heft of Bobby Brown & Marquan McCall stuffing the middle.

Yeah on paper that looks like a bad matchup for us. Colts have good weapons too. If Taylor is holding out that would be real nice but he'll be out there I'm sure. Richardson is gonna be a shitty QB as a rookie IMO but he's a nasty threat to run so when the run game is there for him media will be slobbering all over his sorry ass.

idk....like i dont know who these guys getting cut are gonna be a big impact. I'd rather just roll w/ who we have and let them develop.
