Colts sign Hilton, 5 yr $65 million extension

Colts will be feeling the pain of the salary cap now after this and then when they have to sign Luck. I would not pay Hilton $13 million a year.

Has averaged >1000yds/season over 3yr career.

He's probably worth it.

Then again he's 5'9" and 175. Pretty frail build.
 
He a decent Wr but Luck makes him look much better than he is so I don't think he's worth that much.

Lots of pundits were claiming that taking Dorsett in the draft marked the end of Hilton as a Colt. I wasn't buying it. Hilton is proven and was much more productive in college than Dorsett.

Luck doesn't beat DBs off the line. Yes, Luck is an amazing QB, but Hilton beats his man quite consistantly. Is he worth $13 mill per year? We'll see...

Yes he does beat some Dbs off the line and get open. But when you have Luck back there throwing pinpoint bbs it makes it much easier.Aside from maybe Gb,Ne,and maybe Pitt he wouldn't have the same numbers.That's what makes Qbs like Luck, Rogers,and Brady so special they can make their receivers look good.

I have to disagree. Wrs are either good or average/bad. a bad wr can't be made to look good. A good wr will look good if the QB can get him the ball, thus ty Hilton.

Never said he was a bad wr he's decent or above average.I wouldn't expect Hilton to have similar numbers on our team the last 3 years would you.Because the obvious difference would be the quality of Qb throwing him passes.Don't get me wrong I like Hilton I just don't think he's worth 13 mil a year.

Put him with any decent qb and he will produce

I think he is worth the deal. Top 5 in 40 yard plus plays, 1300 yards last year etc..It's not Luck that the dude has been making plays.
