Looked like DPI on that last play but it's over what a game.
I dont even know if that qualifies as a Hail Mary since it would have been a perfect throw had the WR not been interfered with
That was definitely DPI. Not even close. I guess the refs were determined not to let a flag determine the outcome of the game. Miami probably expected that was the case and knew they might get away with it. But its not like the NFL where it woulda been first and goal at the one. Still woulda been a low percentage chance on the next play.
I hadn't watched Mendoza until the last game against Alabama. The more I see him the more impressed I am. I think the Raiders just might have their franchise quarterback. He looks like the real deal. They just need to give him another weapon to pair with Bowers and shore up the offensive line. If they can block for Jeanty and protect Mendoza I can see a much improved offense.
