And PFF had him 19th. IMO it doesn't really matter these ratings are tools not a defining metric. So next gen has him at 8th in the league and this has him 17th. Does anyone know where this guy's data is from? NextGen is used by all the NFL teams.
Looks like everyone on the board is gonna go have to go back and watch every snap at center in 2025 now.
Umm... let me know how that goes.
IDK he looked awful this year and was unplayable. Also, it feels like people are just kinda done with Limmer. There's a chance he could develop the mental part of the game so maybe we don't have to worry about bringing in a center. Let's see what happens!
He filled in first at LG didn't he... it didn't look great. And the year prior he did some very nice things physically at center.IDK he looked awful this year and was unplayable.
East side or West side Limmer looked very bad. Now he is better at Center than Guard, but the Rams decided he was not playable and made sure Limmer was in inactive most of the year.Which way western man?
Get off your high horse. I acknowledged just recently in one of two other threads, perhaps in both of them, that he does a good job with the calls, and in tandem. He is a liability on his own.If you have an argument where you're critical of his play, share it with us and let people see if they agree with your reasoning. And maybe recognize that it's not binary between he's great and he sucks.
I stand corrected. Not sure Coogan will last to early R5 so Rams would have to trade up. But I like him.I think 152 was traded back to the Titans in exchange for McCreary and our original 6th (it originally traded to the Titans, so we got it back).
Our first pick after 93 is pick 167 as of right now. That will drop once comp picks are announced.
How aboutI stand corrected. Not sure Coogan will last to early R5 so Rams would have to trade up. But I like him.
What centers don’t get beat up one on one by these guys?Shelton is a rag doll when he goes against 300+ NT's like Vita Vea. If it wasn't for Avila and Dotson covering for him, Stafford would probably still be in a hospital.

I know you can’t put all your faith in a PFF rating but while Coleman is serviceable and (dare I say) consistent - he’s the weak link in pass protection. Which requires help from the OGs. So the old “ the chain is as strong as its weakest link” adage. I wouldn’t mind an upgrade this year to give Staff every advantage. How about
Austin Schlottmann - Free agent center from NYG?
He was 13th of 41 centers in run blocking according to PFF - Shelton was 7th.
He was 4th of 41 centers in pass blocking according to PFF - Shelton was 36th
He allowed 0 sacks, 0 hits and just 3 hurries in 212 pass sets this past season.
He is with his 3rd team in 6 years and seems to be improving.
He seems like a good FA signing that would be good OL depth?
He played for $1.4mil last year, so would be a "cheap" signing, but huge if Shelton had to miss any time?
Don't see that adage applying here because our "chain" was a top 3 one. It sounds to me, that once again, we're overrating the physical aspect of the position and underrating the mental part.I know you can’t put all your faith in a PFF rating but while Coleman is serviceable and (dare I say) consistent - he’s the weak link in pass protection. That's like the perfect abbreviation for Coleman Shelton ... Coleman SheltonColton is staying and starting in 2026.
Nextgen has him as 8th best in pressure rate last year... so we got some stat on stat crime.I know you can’t put all your faith in a PFF rating but while Coleman is serviceable and (dare I say) consistent - he’s the weak link in pass protection.
