And that show jumped more sharks than possibly any other. Of course it may have the record for most spin-offs from a single sitcom too.

Let's not forget Mork and Mindy too.

Totally forgot. Lenny and Squiggy wanted a spinoff but it never happened.

Didn't they do a pilot though? I thought I remember them having at least one episode of their own.

I kinda thought they did too. But maybe not. The memory is a little fuzzy over such startling important events.

Heh. Jumping the Shark. My Goodness.

Ralph Malph was up here in Sacramento once. Had to be about '79 or '80. He was the MC at a March of Dimes walk-a-thon. Gene Lane and the Rutabaga Boogie Band were playing at the end of the walk and they did a raffle and whatever. We were yelling at him while he was up on the stage announcing to tell a joke. He stopped suddenly and looked at us. (kind of miffed it appeared) And said, "that is just a character on a television show. The writers write the jokes. I don't tell jokes."

I yelled back "So Potsy really doesn't sing either?"

I got escorted out for being rude.

I never really understood that.
