ACl OK, triceps no way. Tricep injuries are usually because the muscle is too strong for the tendons. The usual suspect is steroids and once you've roided up you're forever susceptible. It could be a freak injury but highly doubtful IMO.TheDYVKX with his thoughts about tricep tears:
An ACL tear and triceps tears like that are just random freak things that happen.
Couldn't agree more. Until someone is ruled out week one there is no reason to worry. Guys get nicked up a lot during camp.I think there is some overreaction going on around here. Just saying.
That would be incorrect sir. Anyone can get injured and some professions make participants more susceptible (prone) to injury but some individuals are more likely to get injured when doing the exact same thing as those who aren't injury prone. Usually because of playing style or genetic factors.wrstdude with a word problem:
Everyone is prone to injury. It's not a characteristic unique to those two.
Nope-nothing I said was incorrect. All humans are liable to suffer from injury; per your definition. All things being equal & outside of any preexisting medical condition, 2 humans playing football, one is neither more likely or less likely to be injured. I'd love to see some medical evidence of your assertion that some are more likely to be injured. You're simply trying to qualify bad luck. That would be incorrect sir. Prone: likely to or liable to suffer from, do, or experience something, typically something regrettable or unwelcome.

THIS IS A PRELIMINARY REPORT>>>>>>
But I wanted to get this out there> I will update and write the Report in its totality as soon as I can!
THEME OF THE DAY: INJURIES
Rodger Saffold left practice after suffering what looks like a left shoulder injury. I'm not a doctor and don't play one on tv, but it doesn't look good.
Michael Brockers left early with a leg injury as he looked to have either gotten stepped on, or turned an ankle. Does NOT appear to be serious.
Laurinaitis was a no show today. Jenkins did not practice. Davin Joseph DNP. No Barrett Jones. No Lamarcus Joyner.
The actual report will be posted later thins evening.
Coach, did Saffold get beat and try to recover with strength on this play? Seems to me that's what happens in most of his injuries.
Genetics would be a "preexisting medical condition." There is no "injury gene." Nice try though.Genetics. Don't dig yourself into a hole on this bro.

I didn't claim there was an injury gene...and yeah, birth is a pre-existing condition to how our bodies function in life. We aren't all built the same.Genetics would be a "preexisting medical condition." There is no "injury gene." Nice try though.

Agreed, so I don't see how professional athletes, who are the peak of human genetics, could be more injury prone than their peers. If anything they are less prone to injury or they would've never made it as far as they did as athletes.I didn't claim there was an injury gene...and yeah, birth is a pre-existing condition to how our bodies function in life. Which is exactly what I said originally.how is genetics a "pre-existing condition"..if that is the case then we are all injury prone, since we all are made up from genetics
A couple of things:wrstdude with a less than clear understanding:
