RE: Wilson; Is it as simple as he’s lost his quickness?

His rushing success has nosedived since 2020. At least rushing yards.

And 2020 is also his last 4,000 passing yards season:

He has been sacked a ton in Denver. And this is just 13 games.

The sacks are interesting... the line has been hurt... and he holds on to the ball too long.
You could be dead on that, in previous years, he could hold on to it.. escape.. and make a play.

That ain't happening anymore.

Man the whole NFL world was on its knees giving the AFC West the biggest blow ever back in April.

Now 1 coach is fired, another's starting QB is benched and probablyon another team, a third is too beat up, and the status quo remains the winner.

This is why March and April mean nothing other than simple, straight to the point news on what player goes where.

IMO, this was a great move by Denver. I don't care much for their Head Coach, but Russell Wilson is an upper tier QB and I expect him to have a great year. Seattle's plan is to suck and be in position to draft one of the top QB's in 2023.

Denver is SO screwed and I don't know why I love this so much. They are married to Wilson for at least 3 more seasons. Here's the dead cap hit if, I mean when he's released:
2023 - $107M
2024 - $85M
2026 - $49.6M
2027 - $31.2M
2028 - $12.8M

How many coaches will be hired and fired before this "shit-the-bed" contract situation is over. They are many players and especially QBs who have their gotten coaches fired but how many can say that they TOTALLY FUCKED their organization. This is just too damn funny. I really dislike Pete Carroll but he looks like a fucking genius right now. They should just go away and release him now, trade every player with a sizable contract for future picks and roll out a practice squad next year and take their lumps for 2 years instead of 4 years. Simmons, Surtain, Bolles, Sutton, and even Javonte Williams and Jeudy who I know are on rookie deals could fetch them some premium picks on rookie deals farther into the future.

We got their coach fired. Notable happening in a season worth forgetting.
But watching the demise of ole Wuss would have been so much sweeter in those terrible Seahags uniforms.

Yes what we need now is a schadenfreud ending. Upset the Chargers and make Staley look like a buffoon. Then shit all over Seattle and their playoff hopes by beating their asses and sending their fans home at halftime in a blowout.

Like Warner said in his breakdown of Mayfield, the right system and situation can make a huge difference.

I think we all saw his decline over the past couple of years but, changing to Hacket’s system and with the talent deprived Broncos he was in deep shit.

He’s not as good as the guy who went to superbowls in seaderall but he’s not as bad as this year either.

I don't know guys. Speaking objectively, I really appreciate Russell Wilson, and miss him in Seattle. Honest.

I greatly appreciate how poorly Wilson has played against the Rams throughout most of his career.

Wish Jimmy Garoppolo was as accommodating.

I thought Russell Wilson was gonna make Denver a powerhouse. Wrong again, although I still believe he is a very good QB.

No QB has been harassed by the Rams D more than Wilson. Something like 18% of his career sacks are Rams inflicted. Even with the amount of games against, that’s a huge number.
