Safety Jordan Fuller can make tackles Butt-Monkey, Fuller has been a lurker, very slow on the draw, likes to watch others do the heavy lifting. JF favors to play deep but he is NOT good at it. I would prefer that DC Morris holds JF's feet to the fire in 2022 & make him the primary up close safety. The problem with that JF has proven injury prone.

Safety Nick Scott IMO has beat out JF as our deep safety by a large margin. NS is much faster & earned to start in the back of our secondary! JF never made a hit on 9ers Samuel like NS. It is not in him. It would be just wrong after NS 2021 season to push him back to the reserve unit on his contractual year.

Terrell Burgess has an outstanding early showing in his rookie season until his real bad lower leg/foot injury under DC Staley. Staley had TB playing every DB post he had. TB was a sure tackler in 2020. DC Morris does not want Burgess on the field. In 2021 Burgess was awful & could not make a tackle 2021 in limited cameo snaps.

Taylor Rapp can tackle & more often does rap up good too. But TR has coverage skills similar to an NT. HUGE liability :emergency:as a starting safety. Best utilize him as a reserve @ both ILB'er posts & never roaming deep in the secondary like DC Morris did in 2021.

Your statement on Troy Reeder "I’m not going to say if The Rams need to bring him back or not" speaks volumes on just how fine of a Ram MLB'er he was.:drum:

I agree on some of the DB talk.I still don’t know though on who does what in 2022.I go by what choices The Rams make. Then I follow the development of the team & players.
The volume you speak is whatever it is.Personally I was pissed at the stances you took during the 2021 season, only because I thought you would miss out on a chance to see a great NFL(Rams) season. I honestly don’t know what your takes were? I just know you were very down on The Rams DB’s & NFL. Seemed like you were going to give up everything.
I’m just glad you’ve posted all year & now your back to yourself firing away at it all. The Rams won the SuperBowl what The Rams need to do. The draft use to be my thing. Hours & hours just going over players.Watched so much college football, combine & senior bowl.I’m sort of like Mcvay.Don’t get into it much.I’ll wait though,The Rams are totally dialed in.
Anyway got off subject. Enjoy your post & reply’s. I like Troy Reeder still. His career is not over & where he goes is a question mark?

Sounds like if it's about "winning" it's a choice between the Rams, SF and Baltimore?

If it's only about winning, Wagner would be nuts to select a roster with Jimmy G or a rookie Tre Lance at QB, over the Rams' roster with Matthew Stafford.

However much I'd like BWagz on our team, I do think we need to address our secondary or edge much more then MLB. Jones and Howard are definitely starting material and we can get depth in the draft fairly easily. If he wants over 10m, he can find it elsewhere as far as I'm concerned. I'd much rather shoot my shot on Matheau or Gilmore and grab a Clowney to help with the edge. I realize 2 of those three together would exceed 10m/year, however, if we do use 10m/year on just BWagz, those guys are all off the list of possibilities. But PLEASE, don't sign with the whiners.....

Jones is starting material. Not sure how much I think Howard is starting material. Really don't like being undersized in the middle of the field.

Please not SF. We already have enough of an issue against them.
Not sure what kind of role SF would have for him. They already have a great crew of LBs. Might be a situation where they try to drive up our price to F us over. Good strategy imo

This is good for the Rams. Him not signed yet means the market isn't there where he expected so maybe he comes back and signs in LA. He definitely makes this team better, just has to be at a realistic price. The Rams can't afford risking dead money on a guy whose best days are behind him.

SF has two better ILBs than Wagner. Warner I think is the best ILB in the league. Nobody can play inside/out filling hard downhill or flipping outside and mirroring RBs than that dude. He's special. And Greenlaw can stay on the field three downs too, which is more than can be said for Wagner.

Zero fear of him going to SF. In fact it would be kind of funny in that they're spending but not improving.

Has he visited SF? I wonder if that team was “put out there” by the Wagoner camp to nudge us along?

Wagner coming to LA (Rams, that is) would be the best case scenario for both parties -- he comes to an ascendant team, we need an ILB plug in the middle, and he's on the downside of his career; but, if he's willing to get subbed for a nickle safety on obvious passing downs and maybe take a bit of a team friendly deal, then he'd have a great chance to get a yellow & blue ring to go with his green & blue one.
The Ravens?? just not sure about them yet, and it seems like the NFL has caught up to Lamar. If he just wants the green(backs), then whatever. Not sure we need a MLB anyway, we play a 3-4 here fella.
But if he chooses the Rams, we'll find a way to work in a LB who earned all-pro not too long ago.

While, This would be VERY Disappointing News to me it would at least be better than seeing Wagner signing with the 49’s!!!

BUT, I am still holding out hope until the FAT SINGS!!!
I think its down to us and the Ravens. Josina Anderson reported they have a very competitive offer to us, so I wonder what the final decision is coming down to. I get the Ray Lewis legacy etc, but if the money is close dont know why he wouldn't want to come home and play in LA. If they offer more money then I'd understand the decision, but after Von it would really hurt if we cant close this one out.
