Did you even read my post? I said it wasn't all his fault, just a surface level analysis without having re-watched the game yet.

However as a Kyren supporter, the excuses are running thin. We need to see more explosive plays, Corum appears capable of delivering.
12-yd Run
2:39 - 4th
K.Williams up the middle to TEN 29 for 12 yards (L.Sneed; A.Hooker).

15-yd Run
2:25 - 4th
K.Williams right tackle to TEN 14 for 15 yards (C.Gray).PENALTY on TEN-C.Gray, Horse Collar Tackle, 7 yards, enforced at TEN 14.

6-yd Run
2:17 - 4th
K.Williams up the middle to TEN 1 for 6 yards (D.Baker; C.Gray).

Problem is the O'line, they Suck ass period. Pass Plays same thing. We are lucky to have Stafford and his Fast release. If we have a new Qb behind this line, prepare for 2010s all over again! Mcvay abandons the run game because of that reason. He knows Stafford is one of the best in the game and releases fast. 2.33 secs to throw vs Texans which is near the bottom of the league.

He looks like he was shot out of a cannon on his runs compared to Kyren but man I love Kyren's tough running style,he gives 100% every carry
3 passes vs running Kyren,or even Blake Corum from the 3 sort of messed a scoring drive up.Plus momentum.

Yeah I'm talking about just a few more carries a game than he got last year which looked like two or three carries per game.

It keeps Kyren Williams fresher which may be why KW looked so good towards the end of the game.

Well look at the last 2 years & you probably see why The RB room looks like it does & the depth through Training Camp.
-I can elaborate ,but with this dark print & season has slowed me down.

What goes around comes around.

Remember when Akers was getting hit by 3 dlinemen in the backfield every touch while kw had huge holes to run through?

.

Do you REALLY know why Kyren gets more playing time than both RB’s.
If your comparing Corum to Akers is different than Akers as well.Akers his rookie year he was a different RB altogether from When he got beat out of a job.
—This whole thing can get deeper, but if you watch how this thing plays out you’ll see what Sean Mcvay wants in this group.
—I’ll stop for now on this topic.

Puka got super lucky on that Sweep and was dead to rights until Whitt with a nasty block saved him.
That play call IMO was HORRIBLE!!
At least at the time, and the LBer missed the tackle, but Puka is tough & it was a game changer.Helped The Rams control the game, and when they went down it wasn’t by much. That cushion from the start helped.

-Blake Corum the way he funded the game out might give Sean Mcvay reason to rethink his play calling.GET more into at he Power running game.
The Jet Sweep is sort of a Crutch, and KW isn’t SO much of a power Back, but he is great in short yard situations.Just not when there is No Push.

BTW- the Puka score helped me.Didn’t want Kyren on my Fantasy this year, and or Puka.Puka has been Great, but Kyren has been my Top RB the last 2 years. He’s been a default each season.

Corum is more explosive and faster than Kyren. Period. He's now starting to feel a little more comfortable at the NFL level.
Kyren is an excellent running back and great guy to have on the team.
I think if Corum earns more carries, the Rams will be better. Better chances of gaining really big chunks on the ground or on screen plays than with Kyren.

You know I really liked The Rams DRAFT class in 2025.It was filling in the pieces for The Future.
The Rams culture is pretty awesome.
Don’t think you can take away what Kyren Williams means to The Rams

I agree with a lot of this thread. I think you could make an argument for Kyren being a 3rd down back, short yardage guy. I'd like to see more running period but I think those extra runs should be given to Corum.

Not sure but I think McVay saw something out of Corum yesterday and I think he will get him more involved moving forward.

Its more of an O'line and play call issue. Corum should be a change of pace guy. Let him work the 2nd or 3 quarter entirely. They are not establishing the run game and Passing 80% of the time. Stafford and Kyren are dead before they even move with this o'line right now. Corum even got stuffed a few times. They have like 2.2 secs to throw the ball or get back to the line of scrimmage. Kyren has to block to save stafford 1 more sec to get rid of it. We are at the bottom of the league in terms of time to throw. Eagles are the best with over 3.5 seconds, but Hurts chooses to run. They have to opposite problem from us.

Some comments on here make it sound like Corum played at a MAC conference school and is finally getting used to good competition. He led the country in rushing TD's while playing in the best defensive conference in the country. His vision in traffic is incredible, hopefully we see atleast like a 70/30 split going forward

Baffles me how some people want to basically replace KW with Corum, lol. Why? Why does it have to be one OR the other??? Let them both cook, and sprinkle some Hunter in as the season goes on. It's a champagne "problem"...... Or not a problem at all :-)
