I'm probably the biggest Kyren Williams fan on this board but I'm thinking Blake Corum needs to get more touches.
His runs pretty much brought us out of our funk after that crazy Cam Ward touchdown throw.
I can't find his stats yet but he had three runs that were 15 plus yards.

Corum is basically Kyren with more bursts, better ball security, younger legs with more mileage left on them, and not an elite quick cut when a defender is in the backfield in a split second. I really do think KW is maybe the best in the NFL at that, which makes him great for this offense. I also suspect he would not as as elite as KW on the goal line but who knows until you give him a chnace.

I have been calling for a better split at RB / riding the hot hand since last year. Hopefully the coaching staff uses Corum more going forward. He always looks great in his limited opportunities. He was a pretty highly regarded RB coming out of college, far more so than KW was coming out of Notre Dame, and we used a decently high pick on him, those picks are wasted if we staple every RB besides KW to the bench.

I’m good with both of them excelling. Corum looked good but so did Kyren near the end.
Yeah I'm talking about just a few more carries a game than he got last year which looked like two or three carries per game.

It keeps Kyren Williams fresher which may be why KW looked so good towards the end of the game.

After Corum picked up that tough first down on one of his early carries, the camera showed McVay with a smile on his face.

You could almost see the light bulb go off over his head. :)

Ideally I'd like us to run the ball more in general. I love McVay and find it very hard to criticise him given his overall record, but he does get away from the run far too easily and especially in the redzone. More carries all around should mean more for Corum without eating into Kyren's touches too much.

We need the o line to get more removal on early downs. They’re not winning their assignments inside.

Looked to me like they were stopping the run pretty consistently.
Then Sean went to play action and cut them up good.
You have to adjust to what the defense is doing, you can't force either running or passing.
That's what we saw in the second half.
Hard to argue with the results.

hard to argue with 33 total points scored, 155 ground yards and two running touchdowns
